Do you guys know any way of getting rid of headaches....I had a headache last night, a headache this morning (I missed work), and now I have one again (I was gonna go out tonight, but I cant imagine clubbing with a headache). Usually I just sleep the things off when I get them, but I would like to know other ways of dealing with this.

Tylenol and advil dont seem to do ****.

Any suggestions?

You need to find out what is causing the headaches.

The three most likely causes are:

1) Stress

2) Dehydration

3) Vitamin/mineral deficiency, especially B

The three solutions are:

1) Chill out

2) Drink more water

3) Take a multivitamin daily and an extra B-complex

There are other triggers like food allergies (don't eat stuff you are allergic to) and histamine reactions (Benadryl and/or allergy shots.) You just have to discover what causes your headaches and respond to the source. My headaches came from not getting enough sleep.

I agree with the above post. I haven't taken asprin since I was a kid and it was what my parents told me to do for a headache.

All you are doing is masking the pain ... basically your body is telling you something is wrong and you are putting a gag order on it.

For me it's usually not enough water, so Ill drink a huge glass of it and that usually does it.

Check your temperature. If you have a fever, you can have pretty bad headaches. If it gets worse, see a doctor.

If they are Migraines, meds such as Imitrex can help.

Also, certain foods will trigger Migraines, such as cheese, MSG and foods containing nitrates.

Diet sodas that use Aspartame as a sweetener can trigger them too.

Start keeping a food diary to see if there is a connection.

I usually get headaches from sleeping more than enough, or not eating.

i am pretty sure my migraines came from stress. now since i know that i kno what to do to not get one. i can tell when one is going to come so ill sorta meditate. ill site and close my eyes and imagine im walking through the woods or a field. ill see every detail, usually there will be animals like bunnies and stuff. just things that if youwere walking about you would notice and watch. it makes you relax and its worked for me

It's called Imitrex and it works well for a large majority of people when taken before the migraine get really bad.

Because it didn't help you, don't assume it's that way for everyone.
