I split up with my ex in january, having gone abroad to work. Anyway, one of her housemates (who happens to be exceptioanlly attractive and intelligent) has been heard to say (to a friend of mine) that I was too good for the ex.

Is there any meaning to this other than the obvious truth of the statement? I realise that this is an open invitation for over-analysis, but I can't really see how this can just have been a throwaway comment, thus I'm interested in what you guys think.

Any suggestions gratefully received, particularly from any UK DJs (Austin Allegro, Dirtheart et al).

I would recomend that you not over analyze this stuff....

It could be for a number of reasons - they may not get on well - she may have been in a *****y mood - perhaps jealous - who knows.

There is just to many parameters here.

Women change their minds like the weather anyways.

Down South. Between the Y junction.
There's 3 interpretations that I can see

you're a nice guy and your ex and her housemate doesn't get along.

or

you're a nice guy and your ex has been flirty or has cheated with other guys.

or

you're a nice guy and your ex has bad mouthed you behind your back.

what I don't see is that, you being a nice guy and she wants you scenario... Not at this stage anyway.

Cheers guys. Good advice gratefulyl received.

New man- you are correct on there being a possibility of over-analysis here, and are spot on with the women changing their minds comment.

Mac Diddy- spot on! My ex split with me to shack up with "a friend" who had been hanging around like a bad smell, and with me out of the country, not a lot I could do about it. It seemed to kick up a big stink with about half of her friends (the other half plunged the knife into me) who thought that I had been treated badly. Not that it matters- water under the bridge etc.....

For the record, the pair of them do get on, which is why this has provoked me to thought.

I'll be catching this girl at a big time party my best friend (and a friend of hers) is throwing this summer, so I guess I'll just have to see how the situation develops, if at all. In any event (like any aspiring Don Juan), I have a number of options that can be called in if this particular one doesn't develop!!

Thanks Guys

Any more input gratefully received.
