hb's friend likes me..help here.

I work with this one chick who I talk to kinda often. Like a month and 1/2 ago. Her hb friend who works a few buildings down came in and I said hi. I didnt really think much of it. Then hb friend came by a few weeks later, and I talked to her for a few mins, showed her what I do,etc. I thought that I'd just make friends with my coworker so I could get closer to her hb friend. The reverse seemed to happen. The coworker whom I dont find attractive now likes me. I can see her literally melting and just dieing to hang around me like never before. I havent seen the hb friend in a while either.

What do i do here? I just wanna be friends with the coworker. Her friend is smokin hot, I'd like to get with her. What must I do?

The decent thing to do is to man up and tell "coworker" that you are not attracted to her. Do not apologise. It is not your fault that "coworker" is attracted to you but don't make her feel like a leper either. Do not mention hb friend to coworker because it aint any of her business.

Then if anybody has any problems with you and "hb firend" it is their problem and not yours, this includes "coworker".
