What's your best response you can think of?

Newbies should avoid self-deprecating humor like my example, but experienced guys like Crissco can certainly pull it off and get a good laugh out of her.

Might at first glance seem like self-depreciation (which is usually not recommended), but it's not really.

You're taking her demand for information and putting it back at her in a humorous way (with the plausible deniability that you didn't know what she was really talking about, even though you both know that you did)..

I think this would work, especially if she knows (or it is obvious from your body) that you are fit and play sports.

My typical response is a bit different:

"Are you a player?"

"Yeah, I am actually, love doing it... (pause for a second while she wonders did he REALLY say that?)

"Mostly cricket at the moment, but also do football and tennis".

(Modify sports to suit your own life)

I've been told before "you're a player"

and I just simply said to the HB "and you're a playerette"

that usually shut them up because every girl is basically a playerette.

You could also ask what her what her definition of a player is, exactly. In order to prevent being put in any slots you don't want to be put in to.

A girl don't know wtf a player is. I don't even know exactly what a player is.
