Yes, after laser whitening you WILL have intense pain that will last several days. It's not an ever present pain, it comes sporadically. You can be perfectly fine driving down the freeway then out of nowhere, zap, it feels like someone is sticking a needle in your tooth nerve. It's the sharpest pain you can imagine, to the point that I had to take a hand off the wheel and hold my mouth. Then a few seconds later it was gone. If you eat something hot or cold the same will happen. With any whitening, there will be some damage to enamel. I have read people complain of occasional intense pain after going to the dentist for a whitening treatment.
Does enamel regenerate itself or do you get it just once for life?
