Has the SMV of blond guys skyrocketed or has it always been this high?

I notice that I see tons of sexy girls with blond guys when out and about and even when I check instagram.

Almost guaranteed that every time I see a sexy girl with dark hair who is white, her boyfriend or lover is blond (eg: Emily Ratatowski) but I even see a lot more blonde girls who are hot with blond guys.

It seems like tall dark and handsome is no longer really a thing and for most younger hot girls in their prime, the go to is a tall blond guy with good looks. Especially true if you are in a rich area.

Now I wonder if this is because of the popularity of the Hemsworth brothers and Charlie Hunam in media.

I actually think blond hair and blue eyes > tall dark and handsome if you actually want to get hot girls.

That's ridiculous. I don't notice any correlations but if I were to think about it, I definitely see the opposite in my area. Tall dark handsome guys with blonde chicks. It definitely varies lol

There might be something to this. What ever is popular in mainstream pop culture(Hollywood) is what women follow. Men and women are trend followers when it comes looks and fashion.

A few years back when Vin Diesel and Chris Daughtry(both bald guys) were at the top of their game, I would have random girls come up to me and tell me I looked like them. As the bald headed look has subsided as well as those guy's popularity, I don't get that anymore.
