Has anyone tried some of those hardcore stim junky preworkouts?

Just bought #1, might try #2 later

I know what every single ingredient does, and yes, I know it's sketchy and risky. 2nd one is much safer choice, but i'm inclined to go with #1; always been curious about DMAA/DMHA. Will start with 1/4 a scoop first to test it, but I have a very high tolerance for stimulants in general so I'm not too concerned.

Pointless. If you need that you simply don't work hard enough normally.
I don't need it; as of late I've been going to the gym fasted (24 hrs) in the evenings with no supplements or caffeine in my system at all. I don't even listen to music anymore, it all feels very robotic for me. Admittedly half the reason I'm buying this is to jam out to music and get that euphoric feeling from lifting again, in turn making me want to do it more. Only plan to use this once a week on Saturdays, and probably will be good for breaking past plateaus / setting new PRs.

Also hoping it will be good for sex; can't imagine it won't be.

Eat a banana.
Gee never thought of that. I sometimes eat a couple boiled eggs and fruit before a workout, but I find it more effective to do it fasted.

I doubt a banana is going to induce borderline hypomanic euphoria.

Most preworkout benefit resides in caffeine alone in my experience, which pissed me off after a while, like I'm paying to have a crash basically, so I decided to make my own pre-workout and it's the best pre-workout I've ever taken

What I do is leave tea bags soaking in a pot overnight, I use Orange Pekoe myself, then in the morning I'll use the tea water to make Oatmeal; as the oatmeal cooks in the tea broth, it absorbs all the caffeine and tea goodness, then I eat it.

Thing is, the oatmeal takes 4-5 hours to digest and for that whole time, I'm getting a steady stream of caffeine and carbs with zero crash, only thing is some tea has a lot more caffeine in it than other tea so you can easily overdose and be stimmed out for hours.

I started doing this about 2 years ago, first started doing it with Mr. Noodle which I also highly recommend by the way but yeah once I started the oatmeal I've never felt better, it's a great addition to my diet and basically irreplaceable.

Did you read what I said? I know what bananas do. I said I want something that improves mood and energy, and if you're gonna tell me a banana will have the same effect as DMAA and DHMA, that's just absurd. I very much enjoy this preworkout and it helps me be more productive and high energy for the rest of the day, too.

I still prefer working out fasted, I've tried eating bananas, oats, protein shakes, etc and it doesn't help at all, in fact makes it worse.

Mood and energy? A better personality can help.

Oh yeah, you've solved it all mental and physical health problems in the world, you simply just need to choose a different personality and the resulting brain chemistry, ez.

First; try your best to workout fasted; black coffee preworkout; add l-arginine if you want a boost, mix your creatine and electrolytes powder with it; take a bioavailable multi - that really covers in my opinion anything you’d want to supplement your time in the gym. Take an electrolyte beverage during the workout; if you want to add in some yohimbe it will burn some fat also. Immediately post workout take protein with arginine and maltodextrin; this is where the fasted state comes in so insulin spikes and distributes the protein.

I think that having pre workouts is only for those, who have bulk body. It doesn't concern to those who have normal body, like me.

You can always work harder and more often. Our ancestors physique what we praise so much, came about by just doing tons of physical activities.

There's always something you can add to your program. More pushup, situps and perhaps burpees. More cardio. Combined with fruits and maybe ,maybe some shakes. But imo the shakes are the least important.

I always workout fasted and have used creatine and citrulline/arginine/agmantine and ofc creatine and many other things. I often make my own electrolytes since they're way cheaper and make sure I have enough of them since i'm fasted. Never heard of maltrodextrin or nitric oxide being needed post workout but I'll look into that.

My interest in preworkouts like this is entirely due to not enjoying lifting weights anymore, that's all. Working out more isn't going to make me enjoy it more. I'm in a pretty good shape and my goal is to be as lean as possible and so far have lost about 7 lbs without sacrificing any strength but probably need to lose another 10-15 or so lbs to be at my target body fat %. However I still want to be fairly strong so I need to be able to go hard and actually enjoy my workouts when I'm fasting and/or in a caloric deficit.

The arginine converts into nitric oxide so that would be a waste. The citrulline is clinically inferior to arginine, also a waste. Malto is the highest glycemic sugar you can buy, converts directly into glucose, which spikes insulin.

I also take acetyl l-carnitine, and choline

If you take absolutely nothing else, take the protein post workout. It’s the most important.

But you told me to take it...?

From what I know it's the exact opposite, do you have a source for that?

I also take acetyl l-carnitine, and choline
I've taken Alpha GPC and CDP Choline for a long time, though apparently former is better for workouts and not because of the cholinergic properties but something else. ALCAR actually raises choline quite a lot on its own, but I was pretty sensitive to it.
