Anyways I'm new here and I want some *****.
But there has been one thing really bugging me. I am half black and half white and I love my longish hair. I want to style it but there aren't many sites that help with my kind of hair (soft with little nappiness and curly). I have been wanting to rock Lenny Kravitz's sorta spiky fro (If you remember how that looked) or anything besides cornrows and a poofy round fro. I really need some help here because my last resort would be cutting it which I also don't want to do because I love my hair and it would make me sad to take it off and look like every black/semi black person with a short cut w/ an edge up. I hate looking like everyone else so someone plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help.

cutting it fairly low is a good option, but since you dont want to do that, dreadlocks are also a great, but hard to keep neat (but i think they look great and the black women love them). Afors are definitely the worst tho. You're prolly better off cutting it fairly short than keeping an afro.

Yeah man, dreads, corns or a low-cut are all good options for you. It depends what kind of maintenence you're willing to do, and what style you're feeling. Dreads and corns stand out, so if that matches your personality then they will go down well.

Shame us white fellas can't pull it off!

The thing is none of that matches my personality. I'm actually more preppy than ghetto and I have been going to catholic school all my life. Gettin cornrows wouldn't fit my personality at all (dreads maybe but they seem kinda dirty). Jerri curls the way to go. Don't try to go with white hairdos, because you will never resemble white hair. Stick to black haircuts.

The hairstyles I have shown aren't exactly white hairstyles. Lenny kravitz has just about the exact skin color as me and his face is square like mine is. I have gotten my hair cut short all my life and I don't feel good about keeping it the same for so long. I have pictured myself with all type of hairstyles abd I like the ones that I showed on that link but I have no idea how to get them and that's what I want some help doing.

ps. My hair when wet turns into jehri curls and personally I think they look retarded. I have asked my girl-friends how I would look w/ that lenny kravitz look and they said it would be sexy as hell so plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz if anyone knows how to do it tell me.
