Errrr I have a few red marks as well and will use 'make up' on a night out just to cover them up.

However, ime, girls really aren't bothered about this particular physical flaw....I do day game without it and never have problems getting girls.

My theory is this: if there's something about you that subcommunicates bad genes in some way (Bad bone structure, skinniness, shortness etc) then this can count against you with shallow girls. However, if its something purely asthetic, (mild acne, baldness, moles on the face or whatever) then it won't. I've heard it said that clear skin = healthy and disease free but i don't buy that as I've never had a disease ane get ill about once every 5 years.

Like I said this is just a theory...it may be complete BS, but thats what I think based on what I've seen....university gives ample oppurtunity to observe things like this.

Oh btw, try using Apple Cider Vinegar for your red marks. If you've stopped breaking out (I still do a little bit as I'm only 20) then that will clear them up in no time.

are these red marks scars or acne cysts? If you still have bad acne go to your derm and get some Accutane asap. All my older brothers had very bad acne and I started getting it pretty badly in my mid teens and accutane cleared me up to the point where i don't have to even wash my face with anything anymore, just water in the shower. The stuff is amazing. Be careful with it though and get a smart dosage as it is some powerful stuff.

Homo, nah, it really doesn't matter man, as long as you're not using too much.

i have just a couple of pimples on my face. It's all pretty much redmarks/brownmarks but can look like acne to someone who never had acne if you get what i mean.

asking women's opinion on a guys forum? ok...

If your girl doesn't want you to wear makeup, and dumps you, I'll date you if you promise to get implants too.

Seriously though, I wouldn't worry about it.

do you guys use heavy makeup? What kind of make up are we talking about? Is Topical acne medication considered makeup or scar diminishing cream? I wouldn't exactly consider anything acne or scar related make up. I would consider something like mascara (sp?) eye liner make up which IMHO is for EMO's or gays not DJ's. I wouldn't even consider toner to be make up since that could be acne relatedtoo...so what are you guys using for "make up"?

i'm not gunna lie... and i'm not going to say it's okay

i still think it's pretty gay.

i don't know how old you are... but acne is normal at high school years... i've had it... (i'm actually taking antibiotics and i've been clear for months)

i've had acne and never thought about makeup or "concealer" (in other words for "political correctness"). and yes i was insecure about it until i started clearing up... it's NATURAL.

but if it makes you feel better, keep wearing it... but it's even smarter to stop it at it's roots.

i am 21. I had acne when i was 17-18 and it hasn't been that bad since. I just have a lot of post marks from it because of benzoyl peroxide.

how about this... go to the dermatologist, get retin-a + antibiotics (what really worked for *ME* is Cephalexin, i've been on mino/doxycycline and they made me get stomach aches).

i'm not going to act like a noob who's pulling info out of their butt. ...cuz i'm not.

retin-a should help your skin turnover faster... as in speed up the skin growth and rebuilding sh1t... i dunno how to word it. (this should get rid of red marks in a couple months)

oral antibiotics should stop bacteria from forming in the poors... (grease, and dirt are not the causes of oil... i can not wash my face for days and take my antibiotics... i'll still be clear)

go to the grocery store and buy this neutrogena Alpha Hydroxy Acid face lotion, and a sensitive-face lotion.

use retin a and the antibiotics as the doc says to.

if youre face starts peeling slightly (which it should the first two weeks)... start using the sensitive-face lotion.

once your face clears up and there's no more irritation... start using the AHA face lotion.

AHA is an exfoliant (like BHA, aka Salicylic Acid, what's usually in OTC acne medications... mainly Clearasil)... it loosens dead skin cells and makes your face look smooth (but can make your face look oily sometimes).

---

oh yeah, don't bother with holistic medicine for acne... it's stupid. i was into that for a while... plain stupid.

If worse comes to worse and you really do have that bad of acne the ultimate solution according to acne.org would be to take Accutane (only avaiable through perscription w/ heavy side effects) but really I think if you are wearing make up for acne that is the just the most plain gay s**t :moon: I have ever heard if you're a guy. I guarantee you that there are more people that have worse acne that do not put on make up (because they can't) you can only cover so much up with make up. I have seen severe acne cyts and nodules just go take a look at acne.org and look through some of the pictures of people who have "acne."
