Because I haven't given up.

I still have hope that I can have a normal life but I know that I can't figure out how to do it by myself.

For the record. I don't want this thread to become another psychoanalyst fest.

My main goal is to see why other guys do what they do.

From the responses, it looks like guys make moves quickly for two main reasons:
1) They want to/they're horny/they desire the girl
2) They feel they are expected to/they're obligated to/they are fulfilling their role as a male

It's been a while for me since I've been in this situation, but I remember the reason I made the moves was because I wanted to. I wanted to kiss her, feel her boobs, see what she looked like naked, etc.

But I could see guys doing it because theyr'e expected to also. I've heard girls make fun of guys who don't escalate, calling them timid or wondering if they're gay or whatever.
