You know which guys I'm referring to, the average guy who managed to score a HB8-10 girlfriend.

1/3 of their statuses are about how much they love her, how perfect she is, how lucky they are etc.

Some even post numerous pics of her posing blatantly to show off her good looks.

Of course all these posts generate a bunch of "likes"

How is it these girls put up with that kind of behavior from their boyfriends? I'd imagine it'd become obnoxious and creepy over time.

Guys are obviously doing it to show off (just like some guys show off their cars, boats, motorcycles, etc.) Some women actually like being shown off. However, it's a balancing act. Overdoing it will make you look clingy and desperate.

They rank right up there with the never-has-been parents who like to show off their genetic defective children on Facebook. Guess what? No one cares! I guess if you can't change it, let the guys who act pathetic around women make such un-original comments as "God! She's so HOT!" etc etc. It only makes the rest of us who don't put women on a pedestal look 100 times better.

The problem is, while it makes you more attractive to not be like those guys, this groveling attitude also breeds bad habits in women. The man who behaves normally, and not like some beggar, can have women in his life. The more difficult part is finding one that is well-behaved or training a woman to be better behaved once you have her. The easy part is the having. The harder part is the behavioral issues once you have them.

Guys want to show off what they have to their friends. Some chicks like the attention and think it's sweet at first. They will soon get tired of it al lwhen they start banging the "bad boy" types they used to.

I had a friend who suddenly started commenting on every little thread his wife put up. She would put up how dreamy Davey Havok from AFI looked in a new music video and he would comment about how how he agreed on how handsome the guy was or some such nonsense. I was about to pull a Burroughs and playfully warn him of his sudden case of Faggot-ness, but then it hit me: Why is he making these kiss a$$ comments to his wife on FB unless he wasn't able to talk to her directly?

I immediately clicked his page. Relationship status: Single clicked her page, she had moved to another state and was engaged with a new man! She even lost weight (she was lumpy before but got huge after marriage, now she looks like a different woman). After a few months I had to delete her just from principle.

He's finally moved on and is dating again (yes with a woman), but now I have another male friend who is going through a horrible engagement fallout that is being played out on BookFace. I'm thinking of making a page strictly for networking only because seeing friends relationships implode online, and them recording their depression faze with every new posts is draining.
