OK I had to respond to this. I don't know how much yoga you have done, but I can assure you it is not a pvssy thing to do. I have done P90X for over a year now, and have always lifted weights, but never done yoga even though my mom is a yoga instructor. Anyway, P90 X is a bear. I mean you will never work or sweat harder in your life. It's 15 CD's of different routines, and one of them is a an hour and a half yoga routine. I promise you, PROMISE you, that you could not make it through that yoga CD the first time around. You sweat your azz off. You are in pain. You are in agony. You say to yourself halfway through wtf am I doing??? But in the end, its all worth it. I cannot stress how much of an improvement yoga would make in your life, especially if you lift weights. Doing yoga helps in ALL manners of athleticism and healing.

I really cannot say enough good things about yoga. Here is a video that gives a condensed version of the first half of P 90 X yoga, but it is not THE P 90X video, just a guy who filmed himself doing the exercises.

Yep, yoga is great. I notice if I do in consistently I'm always in a better mood, handle stress a ton better, and my body feels relaxed and energized. Plus all those muscle imbalances that one creates from sport/lifting can be worked out through yoga.

If you do yoga to pick up women, you'll get found out rather quick because it'll become obvious why you're really there. If you do yoga because you like yoga, and then happen to date women who are in your classes, then that's something else entirely. In other words, it has to be a real hobby and interest or it'll ring false. My suggestion is to take up a fitness related hobby, something YOU actually want to do, and talk to the women involved through it. For example, I like Crossfit and climbing and the women who do both are freaking gorgeously fit just he way I like. They also tend to be young the way I like as well. When we talk about CF or climbing I can talk the talk because I walk the walk and it's rooted in my reality because they are genuine interests of mine.

I took a Yoga class once, and as much as I tried being open-minded it wasn't for me.

1. The "girls" were all middle-aged housewives or overworked office ladies
2. The instructor constantly picked on me because I was the only guy (and I guess she knew haha)
3. It really was a sissy class. There were 2-3 valuable stretches (I also wanted to stretch for karate), but most of the time we were just lying around, to "relax the neck" etc. I was completely relaxed, but mostly bored! Then we did maybe 10 leg raises and the instructor was like "oh yes you're definitely going to feel your abs tomorrow!" It was hard not to burst out laughing! (but holding in the laughter did train the abs pretty well :D)

Okay I realize it was probably the wrong class.

Yeah. You have to be careful. Some yoga classes are very intense, others can be absolute jokes.

An interesting comment. I've noticed in those aerobic places there are always one or two guys in there, and they look pretty pathetic. Not sure why, cardio's a worthy pursuit. But mostly women take those classes, so they end up looking a little sissified. It's kind of like where the guys all hang out in the garage, or in the backyard playing football, while one dude goes and hangs out in the kitchen with the women. But I'm sure someone with skills can work it.

Yoga originated in India, where it is a manly thing to do. The form of yoga here in the States has been stripped of most of its spiritual meaning and meditative side, and has become mostly popular with females.

But definitely girls going to yoga (and yoga instructors!) tend to be pretty hot. It makes sense, being as they're interested in being fit. And you can't do all those flexible moves if you're obese.
Very true, I don't get this vibe from Yoga or Pilates, aerobic classes yes, and I can vouch for that too.

not here. in the real world.
Yoga is not effeminate and honestly super hard. I was pretty into it back in college. Now I'm weight lifting and climbing.

But I *KNOW* some yoga would do wonders. Just hard to find time to do every physical thing under the sun but not stretching honestly compares to a good yoga session.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Exactly.

If you're truly interested in it and its benefits, go for it. If you're only in it "for the chicks," well...

Not only is yoga a great workout but different styles and methods can focus on cardio, muscle building, flexibility, meditation, and improved body kinetics. I invite anyone who insults it to try some classes and then comment.

Plus if your classes focus on meditation and control of breath and the body through your mind; you can use these same principles in the sack. I sh*t you not, at my yoga peak this one girl and I would regularly bang for 3+ hours straight. I just don't have time for daily marathon sessions like that now

I am now much more interested in going to yoga, I had no idea about the benefits it can have on the muscular imbalances from weightlifting. I've noticed a decrease in my flexibility in the hamstrings/increase in tightness, must be from the training academy. That and I'm looking into the heated yoga to help me in my cutting goal. A new yoga gym just opened up next to my actual gym.

Crossfit is a great activity to boost your athleticism ( as is P90X). I throw in crossfit to my routines along with hockey, and other group fitness classes. The great thing about participating in some of the other classes including Yoga is that you start to work on other facets of ones athleticism. For example, through crossfit and hockey, I have good power and explosion, but my flexibility and low weight/ high rep endurance needed work. By going to these classes, I am working on weaknesses and building on them.

I am going to give it a try eventually, but am enjoying some of the other classes our gym has to offer. And the same applies here, there just so happens to be only 2-3 guys in these classes and 20+ women. My intention is to build on health, not go and meet women. I wouldn't want to be the guy who only shows up to hit on women, but I don't want to ignore the benefits either ;)

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.
