What's the best reply when a new girl asks, "What do you want?". Caught me off guard a few times.

I say something like waffles. Then direct it back to her...Can also say that you are open to all possibilities. Try to get her to answer first. Then don't answer and change the subject. Might be a better way I am interested in this question too.

If it's a text from a girl I haven't fcuked yet: "You, on this desk in front of me."

If it's in person: "To end hunger, I want a lot of things, I also want to know if you've had one of those experiences where you look someone in the eyes and feel a strong connection to them" while you stare in her eyes and make the conversation personal and sexual fast.

You get that question when you're confusing the girl, which means you're treading between friend zone and sexuality. So all you do is clarify.

There's a med school HB that asked me that at a second meeting, just before I got her digits. She's an intern at a local hospital. I passed by her desk after having chatted her up on a previous check up visit.
There's also another HB who was clearly into me (I had known for a few days) who texted me a "What are you trying to do?" following a flirty text exchange, to which I replied."Just trying to find myself a princess".Too corny? Maybe. Her IL went up after that exchange although, her immediate reply was. " What if the princess already has a prince?". But that's another story.
Just curious to know what you think is the best answer(s).

This is definitely a bad kind of reply. By mentioning her as a princess, you're giving up your own power at the same time. The game is over for her. I'm not sure if her IL really went up since she was mentioning another guy. To me, this is a red flag. If she ever mention something or someone, she's definitely interested in them. I recommend you to read Desdinova thread about High Score Theory http://www.sosuave.net/forum/index.php?threads/high-score-theory.229343/. you're going to compete with her high score list. It was obvious that she was telling you about one possible guy which is in her top high score list.

Whenever I break just one red flag, later I regretted my decision.

That reply of yours was what she might wanted to hear. Im really interested to know your reaction when she responded with " What if the princess already has a prince?". Since her IL increased as you said this might not indicate that she is already taken. I see it more like a test .
