i'll never get over the bachelorette party.

Nothing I like more than a group of harpies trying to convince my fiance to be "bad" one last time... well at least until two years later and they create some reason why everything is my fault and I "deserve" her cheating on me.

Highlights of the party included playing football, drinking games and Rock Band, a video game where players perform in virtual bands,

Men also are recognizing that showers are a great way to acquire tools and other necessities needed to maintain a home,
Please tell me what's pvssy about this.

I think it's a great idea. Why the fvck should the women get to have all the fun? An excuse to hold an all-man party with no whiny, b1tchy women around can't possibly be a bad thing...

Just because a wedding shower consists of a woman getting 'showered' with dildos, panties, condoms, and appliances she'll never use, it doesn't mean the man is going to get showered with the same things. Getting new power tools, having a good round of bowling, and getting tanked sounds like a great fvcking way to throw a party!

I think its a pretty good idea, too. What more does a man want than to hang out with his buddies????

It takes a wedding or a funeral to get my old friend group together all at once.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

All this is is one more example of the marriage industry's never ending quest for further commercialization.

And you can't throw one of these "groom shower parties" on a regualr basis?

You need a wedding as an excuse to throw a man-party (however legitimate or illegitimate it is, that's not the issue). THAT is what is so pussified about it. Not the content (the party, tool exchange, beers, etc.), but the context (i.e. this type of party is allowed and encourage ONLY if the guy is getting married).

Does the same go for the bachelor party?

IMO, marriage only becomes 'pvssified' if the man hands his pants, his balls, and his brain over to the woman. There's nothing in this 'Man Shower' that indicates that he's going to do such things. In fact, it suggests the opposite.

Great idea, provided the "shower" consists of cases of Jack Daniels, strippers shipped in from the orient followed up by an afternoon at the pistol range the following day. Don't laugh, I went to a bach party yrs ago that had all these elements.

The dude is still happily married after 20 yrs.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

I suppose that if a groom shower is just a toned down bachelor party with men gifts (e.g., hardware tools), then it's OK. I get the feeling that by calling it a "shower" that it is meant to be pussified.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Which unfortunately is par for the course with most marriages these days.

However....

I don't think we have ENOUGH of these kinds of things for men. Women are encouraged to be social in this way. Why is valentines day geared toward women? How much bigger is mothers day than fathers day? It's all part of our feminized society.

Men don't get enough opportunites like this. If anything it's the opposite; the wife "doesn't allow" him to hang with the boys. Way back when the men went off to hunt and got their "man time" because they HAD to. Nowadays they are kept under lock and key.

I truly feel bad for a lot of men who are in relationships.
