Maybe the caffeine in the green tea extract helps to mobilize the fatty acids from the adipose tisssue to be used as fuel source.

Green Tea does contain EGCG, a very potent antioxidant. It also contain a ****tail of other polyphenol compounds similar to EGCG.
The caffeine has a negligible effect on fat mobilisation since decaf green tea provides the same thermogenic benefits more or less - it's all in the polyphenols. :D

After a week of taking these, I can honestly say that green tea capsules are perhaps the best supplement I've ever spent money on.

Unlike caffiene, you can take several of these a day without getting that crash & burn, high-blood pressure, jittery effect. These things seem to crank my metabolism as much as a session of cardio. Highly recommended.

What about for weight gain (trying to retain all the fat I can get.)

it'd still be in my 'must have' supplements list regardless of your goals.

weight gain will and never be attributed to a supplement (unless it's super supplements).

Spes, why would you want to retain bodyfat? Weight is just a number. I'd rather be 150 at 10% BF than 160 at 15%

(I'd much rather be 190 @ 9% bodyfat, but hey, thats a long ways off.)

Won't it eventually aid in muscel gain? something to do with excess calories. . .

My body fat is probably in the single digits.

Well if it's in the single digits, then no worries, but bodyfat (as far as I know) doesn't aid in anything really.

Now, adding healthy fats to your DIET, thats a whole different story.

extra bodyweight, either through fat or muscle, will make you stronger quicker because of the extra leverage, but the payoff (it'll be harder and take longer to take the fat off) isn't worth it unless you're a powerlifter/strongman going for pure strength.
