I appreciate your ban of Rebelde para Siempre.

Just curious as to what your guidelines are for a ban?

One thing that I used to always think was great about this forum was that the mods here didn't go around banning people for minor offenses. There have been some users (SIXPAQ springs to mind) who have been banned for good reason, but I have always admired the way that people with controvertial viewpoints and messages weren't reflexively banned. I've been on plenty of forums (fori?) where that has been the case, and have found their quality to be lacking. It's one of the reasons I've stayed here as long as I have.

Particularly on the new VB forum, I feel that banning someone should really be a last resort. If a poster is annoying to you, or they have nothing of value to say as far as your concerned, or they are offensive or abusive to you... you can just put them on your "Ignore List". That's what I did with livin' large. I understand that he continues to make remarks about/toward me, but I don't have to look at them.

Since I've gotten a girlfriend, my use for this site has been reduced to the occasional piece of advice for a poster or posting in "Anything Else", which I enjoyed doing because some very intelligent people post there. However, lately its quality has been declining... and this ban did not help my opinion.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Did this guy Bashful get banned or he just shrunk into minute pieces and never came back?

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.
