I'm 34. Got some grays. Some might say it could make a guy look distinguished, possibly even mature and established. Others might say it just makes him look old.

I've heard grown women say that they've known girls fall in love with guys when seeing their gray hairs. I won't pretend to understand the reasoning.

Thoughts? Experience?

34 is early to get the grays appearing, if you start dying it will be for a long time. Own it, a very light gray mixed in does signal maturity mainly because we’re conditioned to know it’s an older age issue.

Dying your hair would help a 34 get away with age fraud. Young girls liking older men is the exception not the rule. They prefer men to their own age. "Young men today are pansies" is old man cope.

I'm bald and keep my head shaved smooth. However, I do have some grey hair in my beard at certain spots and just rock it as is. I'm 35. If women can't handle a little grey in my beard then oh well.

Same for me. I like my look with the shaved head and beard. Since I‘m shaving the silverdome more women are showing intrest than ever before. If a few grey hairs are a no go… well, I couldn’t care less

What's ironic is that despite the fact I have significant graying on the sides, I'm constantly told I look young, like I'm in my late 20's.

I think it's because I don't smoke and haven't drank any alcohol in 3 years.

can be a plus in business to have a mixed gray look.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

I look kinda young for 40 but when I don't shave for a few weeks which is rare, my beard has a decent amount of gray. For me, I'm proud of it and makes me look closer to my age and I'm taken more seriously. I can't remember any woman ever guessing my age, they always guess younger.

How is your diet?
I ask because I went grey during my 40s... then after divorcing some years ago, I went on a diet as part of getting my act together.
I cut out processed and refined sugars as completely as was practical, and along with the weight coming off, my natural brown hair colouring gradually came back. It was a very gradual process, but by age 53 there was no grey left at all.
I'm no longer pathological about avoiding processed sugars, but do keep away from the stuff most of the time - and now at age 58 I do have a few stray grey hairs here and there, but very little. The woman I go to for my haircuts reckons I now have better hair than most 30-somethings.

I'd recommend avoiding processed sugars to everyone - Not just the weight loss, and hair colour, but EVERY facet of life has improved.
I knew sugar wasn't good for you, but had no idea just how much of a lag effect it was having on me.
I feel 20 yrs younger than I am, and am often told I look mid-40s (compared to my real actual late 50s) - Have way more energy, sleep better, all the aches that I'd attributed to being 50+ have dissipated.
It's amazing the benefits I've got from ditching sugar - Even my doctor couldn't explain the hair.

Some are OK, embrace your grays. I wouldn't dye it at your age.
Make the rest of you look so good that chicks will think, "that's a nice virile man with early grey".

bald < grey hair < non-grey-hair

I don't see how this is even a question. All this means is that either:

a) you are not approaching women at all so don't have any feedback on what women think of your appearance/smv, or (a less likely form of feedback)

b) women aren't eyeing you up and down like a snack so you feel anonymous and don't have any feedback either way

The point is, you are not doing anything that will lead to dating or sex. Instead, you are asking anonymous people who have nothing to go on to give a wild guess that wont help you one way or the other.

Approach.

Females have nothing to offer me in terms of a relationship or adding any real value to my life.

I've been with too many (very attractive) girls to even count. What most guys on here call an HB8 is an HB5 to me.

I have nothing to gain from approaching anyone because I don't want any real entanglement of our lives. If I'm just after the in occasional (or frequent) release, then I can just pay for it. If anything, I wish I was in a location with a larger quantity of attractive escorts.

My brother was salt and pepper by his late 20's. I think it's a good look for him. It's helped him in business as well. I'm 37, with a little salt on the sides, but at my age I wouldn't mind some more.

My vote is that men should never dye their hair. It's vain and feminine. You've got elderly men in their 70's and 80's with dyed hair, and it's very unbecoming. Men should age like men and die like men. Of course, you should take preventative measures to slow the aging process (exercise, proper rest, hydration, moisturizer/sunscreen, limit sugar and booze) but not to superficially reverse it.

There's nothing wrong with a little cosmetics for a guy. But it has to be done right. Be more like Elon and less like Chuck Schumer and his makeup.
