I’m graduating from college this summer and I had originally planned on moving to a bigger city, but a pretty decent job came up in town. The town is about 5000 people. I have lived in small towns my whole life and was looking forward to moving to a bigger city. I know I should take the job and probably will considering I don’t have a whole lot of money to just pick up and move. Plus the job is in my related field so I get the experience on the resume. But what keeps nagging me in the back of my head is the job requires I stay for 2 years and being stuck for 2 years seems kinda long. Also I was looking forward to meeting some new women in a new place and I’m not sure how it’s gonna work out for the next 2 years. I need some lovin every now and then, you know? So I have somewhat of a dilemma, get a pretty secure job in a small town for the next 2 years, or take my chances and move somewhere else and hope I can find a decent job.
At times getting the secure job seems like a no brainer, but then I think of my social life and meeting women/friends. Anyone else from a small town and can relate?
