Hey everyone.

Wanted to brag or sing my praises or confirm what most already know. Self improvement, introspection, discipline and focus, hard work and you will acheworkive ANYTHING!!

ANYTHING!!

Some of you may know that I've had my share of struggles. Through hard work and determination I have overcome many od my demons. Specifically, through hard work and discipline I have

Remained clean and sober for 11.5 years
Started a side business and customers. Are beginning to trickle in
Began dating a new plate
Acheived the musculature of Bruce Lee
Maintained a positive attitude

I did all of these things. I DID THEM. Through my own will and effort. It feels fvcking awesome!! Like nothing else.

Just wanted to shout. Everything espoused here is true. #1 thing is to always remain focused on yourself and never stop improving. Hard work pays off. I'm 45, have MS and life is only getting better.

Thank you all

HOORAH!!!

This is probably the biggest potential problem, how are you dealing with this?
One day at a time. Was diagnosed in 2002. At that time I could just about stand up on my own. Since then I've tried to maintain positivity, first and foremost. Diet and excercise are 2nd. I've been lucky. I can run and play football with my 7 year old. Ha!

Nothing is guaranteed. I can walk today. Tomorrow isnt here. I'll deal wirh that when it happens.

One day at a time. Truthfully, getting MS was actually a good thing. It really caused me to think hard about all the time I wasted while drunk and high. Probably never would've never sobered up otherwise.

Mate bloody great going. The issues you have overcome make a lot of the guys problems here look trivial.

I love to hear of men overcoming illnesses, as I have severe Ulcerative Colitis. And I do mean severe.

Like you, jimjam, I'm not letting that stop me from overcoming anything at all in life. I want to be defined not by my illness, but by my handling life in spite of it.
