Got LTR a Job Through an old Plate:Should i Lie?

Right so i used to have this plate.
we were open,
she was hott, fun and worked as a fashion stylist for a top magazine here.
she is very fun and an open person, so we werent exclusive and she respected that. we ended on good terms and remained friends.

Forward 3 months
then i got an LTR.
my LTR is also a budding fashion stylist. who is looking to get into the industry.
she asked if i could help.

so i called my plate.
plate: no problem, she can start next week and we'll trial her for a month then pull her on full time if shes good.
me: appreciate it sweetheart ill call you later with the details.

now my LTR is very inquisitive.
and has asked me HOW!! did i get such a high demand job, at such a big magazine, overnight?!!!! how?!!
she even asked if i paid someone to get her in.
i havent answered, id dodged the question.

should i lie? and say i got it through a friend?
should i say that the girl who she'll be working with used to sleep with me?

Im thinking i should lie, because my plate will be happy to comply and play along.
my LTR is a little on the possesive side when it comes to me and other women, including my past.

When you g/f asked you how?

Just say it was someone who you used to hang around with and leave it at that. Thats it, no more no less.

Thats all you need to say, "someone I used to know and hang around with." That should be your only answer even if she persists and throws temper-tentrums.

PS. Don't mention that you used to sleep with her. Its in the past and doesn't need to be brought up.

If your current LTR called her old boyfriend for a favor for you, called him "sweetheart" and said she would call him again, would that turn you on?

You should have said "I'll see if I can find anyone in the fashion stylist industry who may be able to help. Now lets go dancing."

By calling your old gf and telling her to help your new one, you are opening a big can of worms.
