Got a problem here..

Yesterday, my roommate in college asked whether I ask every girl out for coffee. The background was this:

Apparently, I was talking to this chick, and she SMS's an SOS to her friend to come. He comes, meets me (God knows who he is), and she later SMS's him to bail her out, and the guy basically says something and they leave. And she felt weird that I had asked her out for coffee in the cafe

Here's the part; I don’t even remember the incident. But yet I was wondering over it and realized I could have been wrong in one of the following ways:

1. I Was talking a lot

2. Gave lots of IOI's unconsciously

3. Didn’t have a smooth transition

4. Did not give a false time constraint

5. Escalated too soon

6. Didn’t reach the Hook Point

In my opinion: I guess I should do the following:

1. Read about Transition

2. Read and go over opening / attraction

3. Read about female psychology

4. Practice

Anybody else has a different opinion or any more solutions ???

Relax don't get caught up in all the SOSUAVE rules. You sound like a SOSUAVE robot. Just relax. You must build your confidence first and than things will go smoothly. Remember you are the prize. This is one of the most important tips on this site.

SMS : that used in cell phones ( Short Messaging Service)

SOS: Save our Souls (basically an urgent mesage)

IOI: Indicator of Interest

Ps: Why do you think coffee sucks??
I basically use t to get the girl away from the social situation and into a more private conversation.

What are the alternate options??

I still feel , I should take a break from approaching , and go over all my fundamentals again.

What all should I take care of in the fundamentals? I guess smiling , body language , fashion ? Any other things I should take care of??

Honestly, any girl that has to text message a guy friend to come "bail her out" when a guy is hitting on her sounds like a loon. Forget about this b1tch.

And don't take the advice of my esteemed colleague lookyoung, who says to ignore the rules of this site. This site is gold.

You do just need to practice a little more, perhaps. Also, you should maybe pay more attention to girls' IOIs or lack thereof. Don't keep wasting your time with them if they aren't responding favorably; just pull out with respect and maybe you can befriend them better down the road.

But also remember that no matter how good you get, you'll still strike out.


ALSO: I don't know how big your college is, but you don't want to keep asking out so many girls in a small social circle that you get the reputation of being "desperate." The Book of Pook touches briefly on this point. If your roomate is hearing about your failed exploits, that may be a bad sign.

Well , the guy who bailed her out , told my roomate... thats how he knew.

Most importantly can you clarify your line "no matter how good you get, you'll still strike out"

What do you mean by this? that failure is assured or there will still be girls you can't convert??
