Gonna get shot down and thats fine by me

I'm getting ready to call a girl who I know will turn me down. I called her yesterday, she was in the middle of stuff and I said I'm gonna let you go. She asked if she could call me back later and I said sure. I haven't recieved a call back, but I'm gonna call and say "Hey, what are you doing tonight". If her reply is nothing I'm gonna say "Well you wanna go do something? Theres movies, a couple parties I could get going, and a few gigs around we could go see."
I contemplated thinking about saying something about never getting a call back but thats gonna make me sound desperate. Thats a definite no.

Basically the call will be useless, she already rejected you, and it is blatantly obvious to her you wanna kick it with her, and you already know this so what exactly is the point in calling her, is what I am wondering...

If anything just let it go and find some new honeys. The ball is in her court now, if she wants to call you, she will. Then you will have power.

I called her and once again she said she would call back later when she knew what she was doing tonight. I'm a man \/\/hore wanna be.
This has all spawned from a recent and FINAL D) break up of my on/off again relationship with my ex.
At the moment I'm in the I don't know what to do, where to go, who are my friends, when will I be me again, AFC idiot mode. I'm just trying to dig my way outta this whole and start talking to random people and get more than a superficial meeting with them. Geez I'm a douche-bag.

I'm not worried about getting shot down. I'm actually consciously using this so I don't get discouraged when I get shot down again.
I'm doing things I know I shouldn't. Well, rather I start to do them and then I think, no wait, bad idea. My game is out of shape, I've got none at all, funny actually.
I just joined a band, the loud and in your face type. If I want women then I'll get plenty.

I actually did get the call back the second time and we're going out tomorrow sometime. I know thats odd... but I really do think a lot of the stuff around here thats said is a bit off. Not every girl is how these posts presume them to be. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong... no wait my mommy said I was never wrong.

I was option #2. She has a friend from out of town and they were doing whatever last night. SH!T! Just realized what I should have said. Lets all go out together! Geez, I'm outta shape.

Ridingthelighting, you're doing alright buddy. I'm gonna safely say that you're not an AFC but a RAFC (recovering) which is a step before DJ. Keep making those mistakes and learn 'em.

I've got no regrets about my actions, I think its a great way to live. I just wish it had turned out better.

BTW we never made the get together...
