I wasn't here for the old times, I want to be here when the good times return.

My question is all about what inspired the OLD DJ's back when the forum had inspirational posts all of the time. When everybody had strong opinions about the most profound wisdom.

What do you think we are missing today? What can we do to change ourselves?

We want to change, we all know that.

Those guys were nuts, retarded, intellignet, they were funny, and had things going for them. They discussed everything in depth and with meaning.

How did they all come to find this site? Did Allen ask them to contribute, if so, where did he find them, how did he get them to come to the site?

Player Supreme, Wyldfire, Pook, BBB, Neanderthal Supersoldier, anti-dump. All of today's major DJ's, Jariel, A-Unit, Rollo Tomassi, Warboss, Shezzler, JC, backbreaker, STR8UP, senor fingers, Leviathan, ( . )( . ) , brotherAP. The short term posters, sapiens, and others...

Where did they all come from? Why are they here?

What lead them to this site, what keeps them here? Why do they leave?

So many questions, so few answers, I hope some thought is put into your posts, this is something I have very strong feelings for.

Well that's one attention wh0re pegged. I don't want people complaining about whether people think about them. You can be working on a dump truck and still be a DJ but other people won't care about you as well...

I was hoping for people who remember the old days to respond, I didn't list all the DJ's on this site, because basically, My memory is not that great, and I am new.

Looking back at naming names, there may be some confusion as to why I asked. NLP sucks in that way.

I was trying to invite those guys to comment, I know they have good writing skills, and strong opinions about different subjects. I wish I could stop saying I when I write.

Derrick, your post just brings up thoughts that some guys are just looking for attention, they want people to see them as good. They want people to recognize how expert they are with their game. Like writing Field Reports just so they can hear praise from people, instead of writing to get some answers to questions, or to give people meaningful advice.

BTW, my FR was for the sole purpose of sharing. The last FR I posted was almost 6 months ago. So, don't start with that bullsh*t.

EDIT: Another thing, my FR can be seen as either giving advice or getting advice. If someone feels I did something wrong, there's nothing holding them back from telling me. If someone feels that it was good, they can learn from it. Another thing, everyone you listed posts FR's too. So, what makes me different?

NLP sucks if you use it backwards. You can make many many people HATE you, if you use it the wrong way.... That's why I hate NLP, I wish people would respond to the words with passion, instead of respond with passion about what the words mean.

I put down people's names, well, now I know, for no reason whatsoever. I WANTED to put down names so people could recognize what a DJ is. Even guys who moan and complain about the most inane things can be DJ on this site if they have a loud enough voice.

Well, since I contributed in letting this post get out of hand, it's only right that I answer your original question to attempt to get this thread back on topic.

My Opinion:

I don't think Allen asked anyone to contribute to this forum. We just had a lucky batch of posters (and we still do, they just don't post as often) that got noticed for whatever reason. Pook, for example, gave really good advice that went hand in hand with what this website is trying to teach... In the end, he got a little fan base. Shezz gives good advice, but people mainly noticed him because he's constantly trying to improve himself. He's someone that a lot of newbies should look at (and a lot of older members too for that matter).

Good advice doesn't come around as much as it used to around here, because with the forums rise in popularity comes a boost of members that don't know anything about women, but think they know everything about women offering advice to other members. Where as a lot of the members back then used to post from experience, a lot of members now of days are trying to solve mathematical equations instead of getting some hands on experience. If that makes any sense.

Well I was around for some of those old days, perhaps I can enlighten you some.....


Back in the day....

People respected the advice they received here. There was a lot less b*tching, trolling, flaming and so on...

As to why people came. They all had their own reasons. Most of our reasons are the same....self improvment, being better with women and so on.

What kept/keeps people here varies. I know I was on a personal misison for almost 3 years before I came back. Mostly to touch back on the things I wanted to focus on more. Others left because they couldn't offer any more. Some couldn't handle the influx of newbies that just didn't get it and were pushing bad advice on to others.


I wouldn't give too much thought on post count either. I remember when they started all that, with the Master DJ labels and all that.....

Quality not Quantity....that's what I say...

You can argue with someone on a thread and end up posting 30 times. Does that mean they were 30 quality posts? Probably not.

I'd also like to mention that I probably don't have all the skills or knowledge that some of those you listed do. We are all different and have different styles. Location has a lot to do with their success too. Living in a large city as opposed to living in suburb or small town can propose tremendous differences in peoples interactions with others. The same can be said about people who are still in school and those who are not. High School and College are also similar but both have different challenges.

I think thederekeffect1 got it right here. Back then folks really knew what they were talking about. Instead of regurgitating what they read out of the Bible. There are still some hanging around don't get me wrong. But when you see a 17 year old with 20 posts tryin to speak the gospel you have to take it with a grain of salt and realize that for some that persons experience just isn't going to be at all similar to their own. Some times it is.

Just be selective.


As to what inspired people to post such great things back then...
You have to realize that there just wasn't as much good stuff as there is now. The Bible now is 2-3 times bigger than it was when I first joined. People had a real drive to "help" people back then, some still do. It's not a populatity contest or game to 1up the next guy and it never was for them. It's about helping people and always should be...

I was a lurker of this forum back when it had the crappy layout, and there was less *****ing and trolling. It seemed like guys were WAY more into practicing and discovering new things about this craft. Now days, it appears, at least to me, that guys are more interested in gaining each others approval than really learning how to make their method of seduction work.

I think as a forum we need to really go ALL out this year and create a body of posts that will provide a real source of education for members that just dont get the game..... More video posts of game in action and audio samples of us in action.

Honestly, you should be too busy implementing successful habits to think about stuff like this or really know what's going on with this (or any other) board.

My list of affirmations is huge. These not only serve to install beliefs but remind you to implement new habits into your life. My habbit implementation system looks like this:

Note habits I need into an affirmation

Affirmations are read 2x daily, preferably in the morning and just before any field work.

Remember to Use the habit as needed until it is a reflex.

Mark the new habit as deletable in 2 weeks to keep list managable.

If you're doing this, then there is no way you will have to time to debate PUA vs DJ or Retired DJ vs Posting DJ.
