I'm perplexed that predetermined wrestling counts as something.
I'm perplexed that Teletubbies or a big purple dinosaur named Barney was so popular, and please don't get me started on that Tickle Me Elmo shyt from the late 90's which had chicks at my school going god damn crazy lol.

It's called entertainment. If you don't like it, don't watch it....which is exactly what I'm about to do with WWE because the damn creative, long term development, and planning of the product is the WORSE I think it's been since I've started watching at age 7 in 1990. I would take the 1994 and 1995 WWF shyt over the current product anyday! That 1994 - 1995 shyt was very cartoonish but it made SENSE. It had FLOW. And it had long term PLANNING. The current product is all over the fvcking place.

- Why is Randy Orton with Bray Wyatt? There's been NO fvcking explanation on that shyt and it looks weird as hell.

- Why does AJ Stylez keep having to lose to this turtle faced motherfvcker named Ellsworth?

- Why the fvck does Sasha Banks and Charlotte keep playing hot potato with the title?

- Why the fvck does the Universal Title look like the Raw Women's title?

- Why the fvck can't Roman Reigns STILL not cut a promo?

- Why the fvck aren't Enzo and Cass featured more heavily on the show?

- Why the fvck does Goldberg get the big Lesnar win, instead of somebody that's up and coming at Wrestlemania? Hell.....let KO successfully retain the Universal Title at Wrestlemania by beating Lesnar soundly or something.

Urghhhhhh, shyt makes no sense.

Agreed. Even though every character was absurd (a Mountie, a hockey player, a demon [who became the greatest of all time], an ultimate warrior from outer space) it worked at the time for some reason.

Agreed. Wyatt's feuds NEVER make sense. He just goes down the roster and targets random foes. When a sinister character like Taker targeted people in the 90s it made sense because it was usually another mystical supernatural character. The Taker/Kane saga with Paul Bearer & the funeral home could have been ITS OWN TV SHOW ALONE!!

- Why does AJ Stylez keep having to lose to this turtle faced motherfvcker named Ellsworth?
Agreed again. This is like Stone Cold losing to Gilllberg in 99 or Triple H losing to Santino in 2005. It's a disgrace.

- Why the fvck does Sasha Banks and Charlotte keep playing hot potato with the title?
Think bout it. Because Charlotte is going to chase down her fathers record of 16 and it's going to be a storyline for years to come. Shes got 3 reigns now? Ain't seen nothing yet.

As far the titles go, I care less about what they look like and more about why THERE ARE ALMOST 20 CHAMPIONS NOW, between having a tag team and women's on each show, a cruiserweight and an NXT. Who is NOT a champion on this show now?

- Why the fvck can't Roman Reigns STILL not cut a promo?
Hes trash but hes going nowhere because he's related to The Rock. Call it Samoan Privilege in pro wrestling.

Also fed up with the rematches. Reigns vs Owens, Sasha vs Charlotte, Ziggler vs Miz, New Day vs Gallows /Anderson. These matches have been happening every week for MONTHS

I liked it in the 80's when I was a kid. The 1980's WWF product was actually a lot more polished and mainstream than 1970's pro wrestling. In the 70's, it was common to sneak a razor blade into the ring and cut one's own forehead to bleed a lot for the sake of the show.

Now THIS was GREAT fvcking tv FOR MEN GOD DAMNIT!!

The two baddest tag teams of the attitude era have a 2 minute bar room brawl involving tables, glass bottles, broken wooden chairs, and being put through walls. And then like men do they're laughing and drinking beer a few minutes later. This Fight Club segment was not only violent but hilarious, and it wasn't exactly complicated writing...

@Tenacity you gotta see this

Wrestling is fake. The result is already set.

What's the point in watching it?
Because it's entertaining. Discussing wrestling is no different than people discussing what happened on last nights episode of Game of Thrones. I consider wrestling to be an art form and it takes years of training to be able to put on a good match. Wrestling isn't fake, but the outcomes are predetermined for maximum entertainment effect or politics. The bumps and injuries you take in the ring are all very real. 99% of these guys spend years training and getting beat up for virtually no money.

Watch this match and you'll see two solid workers who've been training since childhood and know how to put on a good match

Good answer. I've always thought that people watch wrestling because it's "fake". Or at least I do. That's what makes it interesting and unique to me. There's an interesting interplay between the fans and the people who decide what's going to happen backstage. Given the storyline, what is most likely to happen here? And it isn't always predictable. It's like a sport, but it has storylines built in - it's been called men's soap opera, and that's an apt description.

It's also a bit like a concert. There are lights, lasers, music, fog machines, explosions, and fire pots. I also like to see the way crowds react to things, they sometimes come up with funny signs, chants, etc. The audience is part of the show. There's a semi-famous story about Chris Jericho (heel wrestler). He was brawling with his opponent outside of the ring, and a guy in the crowd yells at him "Go back to Toronto!". Jericho yells back at him "I'm from Winnipeg, you idiot!". You don't see that in the NFL.
