So my current gf is 18 and Im almost 23, and obviously she wants me to go to her prom. I personally dont want to because I think prom should be a once in a lifetime thing, plus Ill be the oldest person there, minus the teachers.

So you want to ruin her experience, simply because you already had your own?

Hey, look, if you don't want to go... fine.

But don't be complaining when she takes someone else and then you're left wondering if she's banging him or not. Have it your way, but be ready to disappoint your girlfriend if you decide not to go. And who cares if you're the oldest one there? The likelihood of you ever seeing any of those people again is very, VERY slim.

If you don't go.. she DOES deserve to still go and even have a date, even if it's not you.

You've been asked on a date! You don't know how good you got it right now.

Stop that insecure sentimental journey sh*t and go with her. If everyone else is staring at you, just put yourself in the mindset that says that everyone else in there hasn't seen a more gorgeous couple.

Remember that people are gonna talk about you until the day you die and there ain't sh*t you can do about it. Live your life how you so desire. F**k what a hater has to say about you. I had some witty comebacks for the occasion, you should too. Be courageous.

Case closed.

I just went to my own prom and one of my 18 year old friends brought her 22 year old boyfriend. Was a complete non-issue and we all had a great time. So really, just go and have fun. Plus she'd feel really left out without someone to bang afterward.

I was in your position this year and decided to not go.

She ended up going with a friend, had a great time.

The high schoolers will talk sh1t behind your back but that shouldnt matter.

All that matters is if YOU want to go or not.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

Why does it matter how many times one should go to a prom? My friend went to 4 different proms, in the same year, and he enjoyed them all.

If you do not want to go, that's fine.

But your logic and reasoning is totally messed up, OP.

LOL! If you don't want to, I'm pretty sure someone else will be more than willing to go... and fvck her at the end of the night.
