Going Clubbing to NOT pick up girls!

i'm going clubbing for the first time soon.

time and time again, i've read people on this board writing that you shouldn't go to the club with the intention to pick up girls. instead you should go to have fun, and picking up girls will be an immediate side effect.

but this is me: i want an LTR. i DON"T want an LTR with a clubber chick (b/c i think most of them are skanks). but what i'd like to do, is just go to a club and dance with lots of girls, and have a great time and not really concern myself with picking them up.

is this possible? seems like the obvious answer is YES -- but where my confusion arises is AFTER the dance. i can see myself going up to a girl, introducing myself, asking her to dance, shaking my booty on the dancefloor for a few songs....then what happens after that? what am i supposed to tell the girl? and how do i know when we're "done" dancing?

ah boy! i remember the first time i went to a club! i always go out to clubs just to have fun, and if i pick up good on me. Also a lot of girls who go out arent skanks and are there just to have a good time.

It will come natural to ya tho, just go out and enjoy yourself.

seems like you have believed the misconceptions about clubs... as a frequenter of many clubs, i can tell you that the women in them on no more skanky than women in malls, churches, or your workplace. i've met and dated some that i thought would be giving it up on the first date because they were so rowdy and "skank-like" in the club. then they won't even have a drink one the date.

like the first reply said, some women just go out with their friends and want to get really wasted and have a good time. this does not make them skanks.

as for when you shoud stop dancing with a girl... uhhh never... if she is willing to grind you all night and she is hot, why would you want to stop?

damn right, a lot of clubs deviate in quality of chicks. Some you'll find reserved hotties everywhere, who are they just to have fun and not to pick up, where other clubs are full of skanks and are all there for a root!

Also just go out and have a good time for your first time, just enjoy the club scene, dont plan too much, take things as they come.

yeah perhaps i was a bit hasty in my skank comment -- i can clearly see why a lot of clean girls would go to clubs. that's like saying guys at clubs are all dirty players, when we're all decent guys right? not a fair assumption

but when dancing with one girl, should i simply wait until she makes the first move to stop dancing? in general, how do other girls respond if you ask them to dance after they've seen you dancing with another girl?

well what you can do is go to the bar buy her a drink, go sit down or wait for her to stop dancing.

Well skanks wont usually dont care, if they see you with other woman, but a lot of decent woman wouldnt like this.

I don't think you really have anything to worry about. A girl will most likely not make any kind of move on you. I doubt she'd even make an effort to talk to you. Like payaya and Knicknack said, the reason why a lot of girls go clubbing is simply for a girls' night out. And also for the ego boost of a lot of guys checking them out. Some of them may not even be single, they just want to have a good time.

i been going clubbing with a DJ mindset for a few weeks and at first i was out for one reason - to find a hot chick for ONS or LTR! Well I got a good few dances and kisses but no digits and only 7/10 or 8/10 chicks.
on friday there i went out with a bunch of my friends and said from the start "im just out to have fun with my mates, if a woman comes along - fine - otherwise who cares?"
i somehow found myself pulling slightly hotter chicks (8/10 or 9/10) and one blonde 9 (really!) called Claire gave me her phone number and showed high IL! im gna call her up for the first time in about 10 mins.
i dunno if my mindset showed to the chicks but it sure made me feel more comfortable approaching them
