Go get tested right away!! I hope you don't get it cause your b!tch cheated on you.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Listen, relax. While it is always better not to have genital herpes, genital herpes is more along the lines of a minor nuisance than the end of the world. Consider the following facts (which you can find for yourself):

- 90% of those infected are unaware they are infected, either because they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are so minor that they don't even notice.
- Unless you were in a high-risk group (pregnant women, elderly, or compromised immune system), it doesn't do your body any harm.
- For those who experience symptoms severe enough to be noticeable, the first outbreak is the worst but afterwards the outbreaks lessen and occur less frequently, to the point where the outbreaks eventually stop altogether (but don't confuse outbreaks with being contagious).

Well good luck with that. At least if you do get it ... well it could be worse. Herpes would suck but it's not the worst thing to have I guess.

They don't protect the base of the penis and the balls, but they protect the shaft.

It's better than nothing.
You still get infected.

Well, to the OP with herpes - your kid might have problems. I feel sorry for you.

Some people are completely asymptomatic, most have very little in the way of symptoms. People with compromised immune systems have the most issues.

My ex-wife has herpes and did for the seven years we were married. She never did give it to me. I have read that the transmission rate between married couples who abstain during outbreaks but still don't use condoms to be about 10% per year, so there is hope. Not having sex during an outbreak or just before one is the key.

Herpes tests are not very good. They can test your blood for the antibodies, but some people can have the antibodies, yet never get a sore and never give it to anybody else. All you can really do to know for sure is wait and see if you get a sore. It looks like a poison ivy bump and it hurts. Keep in mind, though, that it will not look nearly as bad as what you see in google image searches; those people in those pictures are usually immuno-compromised in some other way, like having AIDS or some other serious problem.

If you do get a sore, it's not the end of the world. Valtrex or Famvir as daily meds help a lot of people.

Also, do you think your ex could be lying? Ask her what the doctor told her and what meds she is on, and see what she says. Maybe she is just lying to break up with you.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.
