Every time im out with a girl they always end up telling me Im cute. Or they tell my friends im cute. Like what the hell. I have a very intimating personality and build, and I use to scare off girl so ive been acting much more.. uhh I guess you can say gentle? towards them.

I dont want to be just cute. I find thats like being friendzoned. I do think myself to be attractive, but what can I do. I dont wanna be giant teddy bear cute, and I dont wanna be woman beating scary.

I got brotherzoned a week ago for ****s sake. Maybe im being too soft around women, but like I said. If I act like myself I come across as macho and angry/over confident. It works, but only for one night stands. This cute **** has me feeling like a *****. I need to find balance.

You're probably not projecting sexual energy.

But also, don't get hung up on a single word. My ex called me cute and we banged like you wouldn't believe.

Males and females use the term "cute" VERY differently. Always remember that.

For guys, when we say a girl is cute, we mean pleasant to look at and doable. Cute generally does NOT mean hot when we are talking about a girl. It usually just means borderline pretty or pretty or maybe moderately pretty.

But girls have two different ways they use the term cute, with the first one being the most common...

90% of the time --- "He's cute" or "You're cute" means "You're VERY attractive." Not necessarily hot (but could be), but the upper end of attractive. It's a MUCH higher/more strict standard for a girl to say "cute" than a guy. This is usually used to refer to a sexy masculine, imposing man. He could be really built or tall or whatever. Listen for the voice inflection too. The volume goes UP slightly towards the end of the word, and the word is stretched out slightly longer when pronounced: "He's cuutE."

Yes, I understand the OP's concern. From a male perspective, why the F would you refer to a ripped macho man or super tall guy as CUTE? It sounds soo silly and retarded to us lol. I could understand "hot, built, etc." But as I said, women use the term cute VERY differently. In this context, it means, "He makes my gina tingle" NOT he's a warm endearing puppy or kitten.

10% of the time --- "He's cute" with a very short, flat even volume/inflection means he's OK, but nothing special. More like the decent looking nice guy teddy bear crap the OP warned about.

Anyway, OP if you are the big physically imposing man as described, she's calling you VERY attractive. It's a good thing.

when a girl says a guy is cute she usually usually means really attractive....however, considering you recently got brotherzoned...they may mean teddy bear like with you...

don't be so safe acting and give them bedroom eyes a lot and don't be scared of flirting or kino...being told you are like a brother is the worst thing ever

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

You can find out pretty quickly how a chick means "cute" by throwing the word back at them in a subtley escalated way.

Chick says: You're cute.

You say: You're pretty damn cute yourself.

If she giggles or smiles wide. She most likely wants it.

Then I'd say: Let's go be cute together. ;) Or: We should get cute together sometime.

You have to pick up on certain words they use and keep going back at them to get more of a feel of how they mean it and if you can escalate off them.

^^ yup, I always take what women say (Many if them, usually a couple of years older, will call me honey or sweetie) I interpret All things a woman says to me as she wants to fvck me. Had one yesterday, or was it today I forget, hot blonde, but tat on her collar bone area, worked at a liquor store (btw, Most liquor store cashiers are not very friendly, just sapped personalities, no cheer, no upbeatness (like I carry myself, I always carry myself as happy to see whoever I see, strangers whomever...I've met too many people in life and those are the types I like to meet the most those who are happy to see you even though they've never met you), anyway the blonde, very blunt INTENTIONAL turned off from me BE-CAUSE, in my mind, she saw someone unusual, someone she wanted, but then tried the, I'll ACT like I think he's sh!t loser "get out of my face, just leave, go!" to him to build my perceived value to him because I want him. So sad, I saw right through it, wasn't phased by it and maintained my cheeriness, maintained my charm. Whatever a woman says to you, be so confident, knowing who you Are, what you've accomplished in life, and she will FEEEL your reality, which is maybe what she didn't originally Mean for you to Feel (which is like sh!t, a loser, less of a man, because she said so, that you were). Women are like the weather, you either be like HAARP and change the weather or be like another woman and thereby go unnoticed by her. She's weak. All women are weak, ESPECIALLY with age. A woman can ace tons of tests, get better grades than a man, and be heralded with accolades in her youth, but her body (regardless of births she gives which takes its toll on her body and mind over the years), is genetically Weaker, and the life-span of her awareness and intellect wanes much faster than the man and that is why women should be forever reliant on men in life, yielding and totally DE-PEN-DENT. This independent woman stuff is pretty unnatural, and over time, these "independent" women will have had enough fighting the waves that should not be stood up against. They NEED a man who carves nature. Your knife, and how you work it for their survival, they need. Work your knife into her womb.

It's not what they say, but the manner in which they say it, and how they act towards you. Don't take words too literally, or assume the worst. Not all girls are going to be direct or forward; they have ego's and fear rejection, too. Even if a girl says you're just friends - she could mean FWBs, and push for sex. Had this happen a lot. Saying you're nice or sweet could be a compliment, as well.

OTOH, you could have girls saying you're hot, they want sex, you're the best thing ever, etc - only to be blown off, rejected, strung along, etc.

Believe and assume nothing. Follow their actions.

What a woman says and what she feels are two different things. Them calling you 'cute' may not necessarily be an indicator of disinterest i.e.. friendzone.

"Cute" really isn't that bad,it just depends on the context in which it's used.

I will say this though,I prefer NOT to be called cute. It does depend on the context, but most time,it never voted well for me,lol.

If you want to know whether it's good for you or not, look back at the last few girls who called you that. You said you're "sick" of it,so it must have happened A LOT recently.

Well out of all the girls who said that to you,how many of them have you dated,or tried to date? Have any of them given you IOIs as a green light to approach?

Look at that,at what's actually gone down between you and all these girls. If anything's come of it,then the "cute" comments were good. If not,well......might wanna work on giving off a different vibe to chicks.

I remember back in college my girlfriend, two of her friends and I went to visit a girl in the hospital who just got a nose job. I remember being mortified at what I saw (we all looked at each other with raised eyebrows), but I was probably too young to know that there would be swelling right after the procedure. Yes, I was that dumb.

Afterward she healed up very nicely, but the point of my rambling is that she reported to her friends that I was the only guy on campus who is both "cute" and "handsome" at the same time. It's been all downhill since then (J/K).

I never did know what to make of that, but obviously the comment stuck with me. I'll take simultaneous "cute" and "handsome" any day.

Ive made out with a few whove called me cute, Im extremely flirty. To be completely fair, I got brotherzoned because she was my sisters best friend. :box:

But yeah, as soon as she said quote unquote Youre like a brother to me, I kind of died inside. I managed to get some boob squeezes in one night when we were drinking and a little peck. But she backed out and went to sleep because I was her best friends brother and it didnt feel right to her
