I've come to the conclusion that girls can be so delusional that they have their own metric of deciding who is "muscular" and who isn't. Not that physique is everything, but this is getting silly.
Last week, I was hanging out with a friend of mine. We sometimes see each other at the gym - he's in pretty good shape, but I lift consiberably more than he does and am probably in a little better overall shape (core, conditioning, etc.). He's 5'11" and has the pretty-boy look, I'm 5'7" and don't have a pretty-boy face, but am built like a running back (45/46 chest/shoulders, 33 waist). We see a girl we know, and she went on about how jacked he was. He and I looked at each other in surprise, but there's not much we could really say.
This has happened a couple of other times. One of my close friend's younger brother started working out and is in the process of building muscle, but isn't all the way there yet. My friend's gf says, "He's really pumped." Seems I only have an "alright, I guess" physique. My friend thought she was kidding. In college, a girl went after my taller friend who was bone skinny, but said how he's "so muscular." My friend half-joked about it, but she was serious!
So, my friends and other guys see things as they really are, but some girls pretend I have no muscle at all (and these aren't sh*t tests). I'm not a meathead, but I take pride in my physical conditioning. Have any of you seen or experienced this?
