Girl who's an old friend?

Ok, this isn't the usual friend question i don't think. So a long time ago (like when I was 5 or 6) this girl lived across the street from me and we used to always play together/carpool to school, the whole shebang, I think she had a crush on me too. Well she moved when i was 7 or something and I didn't really see her much since then.

Fast forward to now, I find her on facebook (and she's HOT now), we message back and forth about getting together, but we were both extremely busy at the time (1 month ago) so we agreed to get together when we had more time. So I send her a message the other day asking for her number so i can call her, the trouble is, she's rarely on facebook, but her number is posted right on her profile.

Questions:

1. Would it be weird to just lift her number off of her profile and call her? or should I wait for a response (i don't think she's hardly ever on facebook really, and I'd like to catch up with her)

2. How should I go about the first meeting? I haven't seen her in probably 10 yrs, so how do I keep things from being too weird? I was thinking about asking her to go for coffee, but i'd prefer something more 'interesting', any suggestions?

Keep in mind, I'm not necessarily trying to go out with her or anything, I just want to keep my options open

Weird thing is, just a couple minutes after i posted this she sent me a message with her number, I'm going to call her later this week. Anyone got ideas for the first meeting? Any tips/pointers?

that's good news for yah! avoid the typical boring dinner date... you should take her to a restaurant with live music. atleast if you guys are dried out on the convo, then you can just eat and listen to music.

Live music would be nice, except the town we live in is a little, shall we say, BORING. I'm trying to figure out what we could do where we'd have a chance to talk, but also at the same time, a chance to do something in order to fill the silences if needed. Something fun would be good too.
