Girl suddenly looking down while you cross paths..low IL or what?

I've always wondered this. Let's say you're walking towards a chick and she's walking your way. Now when you were 12 feet away she was checking you out, but as soon as you get within a few feet she suddenly looks down. Usually i'm in my own zone and don't really give a ****, so i'm just minding my own business.

So what does the sudden look down mean. Intimidated? Low IL? High IL? Or am I thinking too much.

keep in mind i'm not talking about approaches, just when you're walking by each other in any type of situation.

One thing I can say for sure is that there is an IL. Low or high depends on the girl, really. She is just waiting to see if you will say hi.

If she showed interest then looked down when she got near you it was more likely low self esteem.

If she looks down in general, or if anyone looks down, its low self esteem. Most of the time subconcious.

Isnt that one of the "rules" of eye contact? If a female human being looks down/glances at you over again = interested, if she looks in another direction = not interested, was just checking u out?

At least Ive read that a couple of times. Maybe they look down cause on the one hand they are intimdated but on the other hand females like "strong men" blabla get what i mean? Anyways Ive definetly read that a woman looking down is a positive sign.

If you looked happy, it could of been a decent IL or low self esteem. If you were looking a bit po'd I'd say that maybe she was intimidated. In my present state of thinking, I'm thinking that it was probably low self esteem.

Man that happens to me all of the time. While i walk on campus so many girls look at you from far away then whey you get close they will look away. Girls aren't agressive like that most won't stare at you all the way through like a psycho. You gotta do the approach. Same thing happens at crowded bars too. It is almost as if they are checking you out but don't want you to know that they are looking at you.
