Girl sliding notes under my door?

So I get back to my apartment after jogging, and I get into the elevator with a girl who just got done walking her dog. I make small talk in the time it takes the elevator to go from the first floor to sixth floor. Then as she walks off the elevator I say, "What's you number?" She does a double take. She says, "You want my number??" I say, "Yeah." She gives me her number. I get her name. I walk away down the hall. This was Monday. I was going to wait until at least Friday before I called. Then Tuesday I get home after work and I find a note that has been slid under my door. It reads:

"Hey - I wanted to aplogize for being rude yesterday. I was taken off guard when you asked for my number & I did not respond approproately. You can call me anytime! I must advise that I do live with a guy who occasionally likes to act like my boyfriend But don't hesitate to call! See ya around & again sorry for being rude - Courtney"

Hmmm??

My instincts are that I should still make her wait until Friday so I can pick up a few more numbers in the mean time, and not slip back into AFC mode. Am I right?

And she lives with some dude? What should I think of that?

If you don't have another number try to get one before you call her otherwise you may be nervous when you call. Also, you're going to have to make friends with this guy who pretends to be her boyfriend. So when you call and he answers just chat with him a bit if she's not there.

I don't think you're going to slip into AFC mode just because you call her sooner rather than later. It's not like you called right after you read the note. To state the obvious, she wants you to call. She went out of her way to write a note, not a huge deal but still, apologized for probably nothing serious, how rare is that, then says you can call me any time. As for the guy, probably just a FWB dynamic, it obviously isn't serious.

She wants you to take it to the next level. She's afraid she scared you off thats why she sent you a note... kinda desperate if you ask me, but hey, this one is a green light. Don't wait to fcuking long or her buying temp will drop.

She just said she is open to fooling around a little bit but she needs you to be very discreet about it because she has a sometimes boyfriend.

Just call when you planned to and make sure she knows you will not cause problems with the sometimes boyfriend and you will not go blabbing about it to everyone. You don't make a straight-up statement about it (because that will just cause her to feel too much guilt), you just leave a little hint or two that you are a discreet guy.

It sounds like she wants you to call her sooner, by putting the note, trying to insure that she would get a call. You can call her before friday, but it shouldn't make much of a difference, especially after she invited the call a second time.
