Hey man,The actual date itself.Personally,this is what I would do.
1:You decide the date,and YOU decide the time.One of the worst things a guy can do is ask a girl out on a date,then when she says yes,he turns around and says to her,"What do you want to do?Where do you want to go?What time would be best for you? Don't do this.You're the man,so be the man.You lead,not her.Don't worry about choosing something she might not like,the chances of that are very low.In fact,she'll be more disappointed if she has to make the plans for the date,especially when you asked her out.Anther thing is this.When you set up a date,DO NOT SAY ,"Do you wanna go out?",don't use that classic afc line. What you do is say something like this,"Hey look,I'm going to the mall on Saturday,I heard that JC Penney was suppoesd to be having some kind of a sale,and I want to get me a new shirt. I'm only going to be up there for like a hour or 2.Come up there with me,I mean,I could use a woman's opinion anyway".The point you want her to get is that you had ALREADY planned on going somewhere.You were going anyway,you're just inviting her to come along.
This way you won't have all this pressure of it being this "big date".
