On Monday I arraged a (first) date with a girl via text who when I suggested day and location replied "if you want". So i went ahead set it up as planned and told her I'll let you know for the exact time because I have things to do on wednesday.

Yesterday morning she texts me asking if I already know a time for the date. So I gave her a time and after that she asked me where we meet up and what car I drive etc...

About an hour ago she sent a text asking confirmation for time and place.

At least she seems interested but also insecure as hell. I am worried this could turn into some kind of orange flag.

I don't see what's so bad. She has interest so that's a positive. She's only texted twice. One to see if you made up your mind and the other to confirm. Sounds reasonable to me.

Guess you're right, what surprised me is that at first she did not seem too interested but still agreed on a date. Whatever i guess lol

Was it a good idea from me to have the date at a bar where I know most of the barkeepers cause I go there with friends on a regular basis ?

There are positives and negatives.

Positives:

- It gives you social proof.
- It's your home turf so you're more likely to be comfortable.

Negatives:

- They could ****block you.

At least with the negatives... he'll find out they were never friends... or just extremely socially un-aware

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

Right here it's getting risky. You have split up setting up a small date with a girl you want to sleep with into 2 separate texts. By the time you send the 2nd text she could be: married, pregnant, or have a boyfriend. Don't assume she is eagerly waiting for your 2nd text regarding the time.

Yesterday morning she texts me asking if I already know a time for the date. So I gave her a time and after that she asked me where we meet up and what car I drive etc...
OK that means you knew the time already and didn't care to tell her. In her mind you had more important things to do.

About an hour ago she sent a text asking confirmation for time and place.

Asking to confirm time and date doesn't mean a woman is interested. She could be confirming to set you up for something.

Men, I wouldn't think about "flags" until you have sex with a woman. If you haven't had sex with her, she will make your head spin 18 different ways from Sunday regarding the flags. o_O

She's qualifying you with the car question. Always flake on the first date.
