Girl admits she's high maintenance

My gf's best friend turned down this guy recently (who is a close friend) and claimed that "he wouldnt even know wat to do with me, i'm too high maintenance for him"

What the hell does that mean? That comment just made me sick. She's admitting she's a high maintenance b*tch? i think wat annoyed be about it is that my gf told me this story as if she agreed with her.

Women have become monsters. I dont know why that bothered me so much.
I just laughed when my gf said that and pretended it was funny. I then proceeded to ask my gf if she considered herself high maintenance or not. And she says "ummmm i dunnooooo, maybe middle of the road"

I dont know wat that even means. Does it mean they need alot of material things? Or do u just have to be their slave or soemthing? I mean im sure they r half jokin when they say this stuff but its still annoying to listen too.

• Throwing fits over small things
• being over emotional
• wanting you to frequently go shopping with her :nono:
• wanting you to wine and dine her

Maintenance is essesntially anything thats going to piss you off !

What kind of weakness? Are sayin that she might have told me that story about her friend cuz she feels i am lacking ina certain area? Like say buying her things, or acting a certain way? I havent bought her anything yet, not even flowers. Just dinner and movie tickets, and sometimes we go dutch.

Relax man...its no biggie - you're not dead - YET! This is simple stuff...

Whenever she say XYZ **** about anyone else (any when I say anything = use good sense) - this means anyone who is not YOU - you laugh at it, especially if it refers to girls doing <x> because of <y> or that her friend <a> is too <b> for <c>...you just laugh at her...

The weakness I was talking about is YOUR INSECURITY - you see you what girls try to do is test you by telling stories; you can do the same if you want...e.g.

WC: yeah this "friend" of mine WC, well he likes to tell his GF he's at work when he's actually calling her from my place - he's such a player...

Anyhow the whole deal is to frame them in contrast to their friends like, "Look IM not like THAT," for the purpose of (a) keeping you stressed, and (b) creating a paradigm where behavior that is LESS than that is acceptable - setting the bar...so-to-speak...

Now, do they do this on purpose - we could never say when they're "just" talking or "active" in manipulation b/c we're not them...so just to be safe - assume its the latter until its shown to be the former...its easier that way and then you'll never be blind-sided....

As far as the buying things...you're good for now - don't sweat it...this little stuff is cool IF YOU WANT TO - when it crosses over into I FEEL I SHOULD, or worse, I HAVE TO - then OMG - YOURE DEAD.

Point is this - how she treats you...that matters; I'd say when she tells you this BS either laugh, tell her a "WC" story or ignore - getting agitated sucks you into her world and trust me friend - you don't want to be there...
