We've been together for 4+ months. She has her 10 year high school reunion in May. It is formal with everybody getting dressed up & going all out. I told her I didn't want to go and now she is mad at me.

For starters, I won't know anybody and it will be boring. She's excited about talking to old friends, but that will be very boring for me. It just seems like a lot of hassle, and we've only been together for 4+ months. It will kill my entire Saturday too. I don't think I'm being selfish, it's not like I've known her for 7-8 months, just 4+. What do you think?
I would go and have a good time. There will be food, drinks, dancing and shooting the breeze. She wants to show you off man. I think it will be a good idea.

And some men wonder why their women cheat on them.
Damn straight.

You're in a relationship with her? Then you have a responsibility to do your share and that means compromising here and there and keeping her happy. Your reasoning makes you sound like a baby about this. It's only one night. If you can't handle that, how the hell are you going to handle bigger issues with her when the time comes?

Maybe she wants to show you off? Maybe she wants a guy she can share her fun with? Just go and make it fun.

You read that thread where the guy neglected taking his wife out? Has excuses like funds are low, just had a baby. But the wife was asking and asking to be taken out. And he didn't.

Guess what? She found another guy to take her out.

Learn from other people's mistakes. It's less costly that way.

I remember reluctantly going to an old GFs office party. She was so thankful that she gave me a night of pure sexual pleasure. It was worth it.

Having said that, you should go with her. It is part of your responsibilty as her BF. Cheers!

Two choices:

1) Go
2) Dump her and find a girl who grew up enough to move on after high school.
How about:

3. Dump her and find a girl that never made it to high school in the first place.
