Alright, I dont know if anyone else here has experienced this, but my girlfriend has been refering to me as her friend. Not amongst other people, but just with me.

For example, we were talking about pet names and shes like, "you get one before I get one, all my guy friends get them"

Things of that nature. I dont know, Im not really worried, I was just curious to see if anyone else has experienced this

If you are questioning something as minute as this, you need to examine your role in the relationship. Are you the leader or the follower. For the most part women like guys who lead, or have the confidence to lead. Stop fretting over this little stuff, you're gonna kill what ever spark you have if you keep on trying to disect it. Just relax and don't be afraid to bust her chops when she does something silly.

If I were in your shoes, I would not break up just yet. Keep nailing her and start searching NOW.

Why did she said that? Shes testing you. Why would she test you? They test all the time, so I wouldnt worry about that. Question is, have you passed the test?

You can pass it by telling her call me this and complitely disregarding what she implied. You can also start talking about some crap and make it so that you imply (the same way she done there) that you have b1tches. (...now that I think about it all my girlfriends are from cuba.... now that I think about it all my girlfriends want to give me pet name).

I think you should start looking, or better yet, start playing. Skill is what counts. Skills to get 'em, and skill to keep 'em.

She probably wants to get you jealous because she's insecure. She probably wants subconciousl for you to say, "I'm not just any old friend." Of course, if you do that, she'll also subconciously be disgusted with your betaness.

The best thing to do is the next time you're ****ing her, when you're done, just say:

You: Phew, that was great. I hope we can do this again soon. NAME, we can continue do this as boyfriend or girlfriend or ****-buddies. It's really up to you. I'm all about choices. I don't want to hold you down. But if you want to just be buddies, I should tell you, that I'm going to have to just give you a spot on the rotation, and the fancy dinners, dates, and exclusivity are no more.

Her (Option 1): OK (Highly unlikely but not the end of the world.)

Her (Option 2): What do you mean? I'm crazy about you! Why would you want to do that? I thought you're my boyfriend?!? I couldn't live with that. I want to be only with you etc. etc. etc.

You: (to # 2): I'm glad you feel that way. I do too. So, from now on, your other guy friends' only pet name for me will be NAME'S Boyfriend. If that's a problem, then, like I said, I'm cool just being **** buddies, but I won't be disrespected or put on the same level as these other random guys you know.

What that guy said above is brilliant and beats everything anyone else advised you thus far. Its a much better way to pass that test. You will come out of that respected more and raise her IL by some. Nah, she wont say OK.

What exactly makes you think she called you a 'friend.'

"You(the boyfriend) get one before i get one--all my guy friends have one."

So, what?
What if she had said: "You get one (whatever it is-food, a kiss, a hug) before my girlfriends have one."

Oh god. Does that mean she just called you her girlfriend? No.

She mentioned you, than mentioned her guy friends. I fail to see how she called you her 'friend.'

This is a stupid post by the way.

She is telling you that your just her friend now, and as "just friends", she is allowed to see other guys. More then likely she is already banging someone else. My advice to you and...and your here from advice aren't you? Tell her you like that little things she does when she calls you her friend. Do it in front of other people when your out and she'll quickly come around or leave. Either way our better off without her. pm me for more info.

It means absolutely nothing. No test, just something she wanted to say or DO!

Let it freaking go. Don't listen to these maniacs here who will give the WORST f*cking advice and make you PARANOID. They never kissed a girl before.

It was just a freaking statement and she felt like giving you a pet name. That by NO means show the loss of attraction.

RELAX.

People will post things like "She used to kiss me on the forehead every time and today she didn't. Is everything lost?"

BS everywhere...basement nerds, losers, wimps who act tough on the Internet.

Agreed.

The OP has yet so show any example of her calling him a friend.

This is a non-issue. All she did was mention you, and than her guy friends. She didn't call this dude a friend.

So you would be o.k with your girl referring to you in the same breath as her "guy" friends?

Not me. I'd check that mess at the door and help her make a clear distinction between the two side of the coin.

Oh god.

You are reading too much into it.

Bottom line: He was never called a 'friend.'

End of discussion.
