hey guys, haven't posted here in a while.

My new GF is prety solid. Mentally stable, hot, caring, all good.

However every now and then she'll ask me to pick her up at night (every month or so) because she is afraid.

Most of times its like a 10 min ride, no problem. Today she asked me to pick her up from the airport, so i'll have to go there with the train and then go back with here (2 f*cking hours trip). I don't get this sh1t of being scared to walk at night as a woman, honestly.

Should i say no?

Unless you have something really important to do, I'd just go. It sounds like she's been behaving well and treats you nice so keep it reciprocal.
Agree. We don't always have to be heartless a-holes. If she's willing to do the same for you, why not just do it? Or would you rather have her call some other chump?

You don't understand it because you are not a female. Perhaps she was followed before. In any case if she is as good to you as you say why not just be a decent boyfriend and not so insensitive to your girlfriend. If you notice you constantly have to drive hours to pick her up perhaps discuss another option that works for both of you.

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

One of my former female roommates, was raped by a taxi driver before.
At least once a week she would wake up the house screaming at night, and once she was banging some dude and before he could stick his weeny in she punched him on the nose and kicked him out the house in a huge panic attack, quite a scene lol.
Traumatised to the core.

Wow that is horrible. Unfortunately many women, myself included, are not comfortable walking alone at night. I actually don't think anyone should walk alone late at night in particular. I know four guys here in Toronto who got mugged at night and one girl who got groped by a guy as she was passing him in the street.

I've been followed a few times but ducked into stores or gas stations and waited for them to walk by. One came into the store and I confronted him and he exposed himself and ran out. Can't live in fear but gotta be mindful out there.

I wouldn't blame a woman at all for being afraid to walk alone at night. Just shows she's got some sense. How would you like it if she was raped or murdered sometime because you were trying to be too "alpha" to go pick her up?

Women are not men, they are not as strong physically, and there are men who will take advantage of that.

depends on where you live and where she's walking. if she lives in the upper east side or something like that she's fine, but if she has to walk through the hood...

It’s a fact that it’s a more dangerous world out there now than it has been previously. If she has a fear about that fact, respect it if you care about her.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Normal... a lot of women feel unsafe at night for various reasons.

Night is mysterious and can be a crime spot
They alone
All girls had a bad experience with a guy once (from staring to agression)
Must girl have insecurities naturally (remember all we always have to make them feel safe)

You should do it, no matter how ''strange'' it is for you.... she's your GF/LTR and you don't know why she's feeling like that (could be trauma to insecurity).... if it gets repetitive and more and more common... than ask why or find out

I wouldn't want my girlfriend walking alone at night, whether she was afraid or not.

Make sure she reciprocates for you. Maybe she can clean your house for you.
