Personally I'd say what differentiates a "plate" from a "gf" is normally:
1. Value
2. Commitment
Are you guys committed as "a thing", exclusively, formally? Or is it just kind of casual?
If she's your *actual* bona-fide GF, I'd say that means she's probably been judged by you as high value. Which, if you have good taste, means she's trustworthy when it comes to the big stuff (I.E. not climbing on other dudes) as well as attractive.
Personally using that logic I wouldn't worry about her bumping dudes whenever she's sick. Better to worry when she is consistently showing low interest in dates repeatedly all of a sudden, or if your sex life suddenly goes colder.
With a "plate" you have no commitment with, obviously bets are off and you'd be right to be more suspicious. But a girl you'd elevate to GF status should be someone you trust not to cheat.
