Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and want to add some value to guys that need to get past acne. I know a lot of guys out there suffer from acne and it really stops them from approaching the super hotties, I know cause it used to stop me. I recently finished writing my ebook on the true cause of acne and how to get rid of it through nutrition, cleansing and rebuilding of internal organs and I'll give anyone who needs it a free copy. Email me at kocal48@yahoo.com with 'acne ebook' in the subject line and I'll send you a copy- and you'll finally know what's really casuing acne and what you can do about it. Like Neil Strauss says, "Everything counts".

Here is an excerpt from it

I’ll never forget the day I found out the true cause of acne- I felt like I had finally discovered one of the great mysteries of the world. I was at my mom’s house in Las Vegas eating birthday cake and ice cream in celebration of my youngest brother’s birthday and as I took each mouthful of that tantalizing cake and ice cream I could feel my acne being aggravated and the burning sensation of new pimples forming on the spot. I was shocked! I had read before that there was a connection between acne and sugar but it had never been so blatantly obvious. I jumped out of my seat, onto my computer and began to go down, deep into the rabbit hole.
That day marked the beginning of my quest to uncover the true cause of acne. In the back of my mind I had known all along that acne was a result of what I ate, despite what Dermatologists and Doctors had told me. Here is a quote from the Journal of the American Medical Association that sums up what I had been hearing for years; “Diet plays no role in acne treatment in most patients… even large amounts of certain foods have not clinically exacerbated acne.” How can the average person refute this kind of authority? How can I or anybody else challenge what Doctors have been telling us for years? You must! You must question everything in spite of what medical professionals tell you. Dermatologists are going to continue to insist that nutrition has nothing to do with acne because they cannot make a profit on prescribing a healthy diet.
In reality, immeasurable amounts of people have proclaimed that their acne gets considerably better when they cut out certain foods in combination with adding nutritionally beneficial foods and get worse when they eat other specific foods. What I discovered is that my acne was not just a product of what I was putting in my mouth but also a result of weakened internal organs that were not able to properly cleanse my body of toxins.
You see, I didn’t just wake up one morning and have acne. There are things I had been doing and not doing my entire life that were causing and instigating my acne. Once you know what those things are, you will be on the road to annihilating the core cause of your acne forever! I spent the best years of my life hiding out because I did not have the confidence that comes with a clear face. I had a good idea of what other people were thinking when they looked into my face, “People view acne as a disease”, I thought, “a sign that there is something physically wrong with me.” Because of my acne and the beliefs I had about it, I lacked the confidence to approach the drop dead gorgeous girls I really wanted to date or to go after my big dreams in life- I just didn’t have my mojo.
During those years acne cost me a lot of dates, a lot of fun times and it caused a lot of suffering. Well you know what- it was all worth it. All those years of suffering were worth it because it was the motivation for me to discover the truth. I helped myself and now I am in a position to help millions of other people who suffer from acne.
Throughout my search I studied and worked with some of the greatest minds in the fields of nutrition and cleansing. It has taken years of research trial and error by countless individuals and now all of the pieces to the acne puzzle have been found. I’m here to tell you what they are- it’s really quite simple. Address some key nutritional deficiencies, cut out some common foods that are the biggest instigators of acne, and go through a very specific cleansing and rebuilding process of your internal organs. When you do these few things, acne will be a thing of the past.
Now, before I tell you the specifics let’s look at why conventional methods for treating acne don’t work because I would hate for you to spend one more day or one more dollar on products that don’t work! Simply put, conventional methods don’t work because they assume that acne is a skin problem, which it is not. Acne is a warning sign. It is your body’s way of telling you that SOMETHING IS WRONG INTERNALLY!
Unfortunately, most doctors and dermatologists don’t fully understand this or they do understand it and choose to ignore it. Why would Doctors and Dermatologists ignore this blatant fact? Why do they continue to persistently assert that nutrition has nothing to do with acne? The reason is that Doctors and Dermatologist are in essence, the pawns of the trillion dollar drug companies, which sponsor most medical schools.
Doctors, by and large, either consciously chose to ignore the fact that acne is directly linked to nutrition or they have no real comprehension of the subtleties of the human body in regards to treating acne. If you continue seeking guidance from these individuals or the countless companies that profit from selling you creams, lotions, potions and pills you will continue getting short-term results at best and their prescriptions may actually make your acne worse down the line. Lets examine some of these common prescriptions.
Topical treatments and antibiotics are designed to kill bacteria but fail to treat the cause of the bacteria overgrowth. Accutane is another common acne treatment that is a derivative of vitamin A. It is designed to kill bacteria and lower your skins ability to produce oil. This drug only works 50-70% of the time and people often go on multiple cycles of accutane because they will break out shortly after getting off of it- it doesn’t address the root of the problem.
Accutane
Accutane or Isotretinoin is an oral drug made by Hoffman-LaRoche. Because of its success and its ease of use it is popular with teenagers. I will tell you this, there is no such thing as a magic pill and taking this quick and easy path to treating acne has long-term negative repercussions over time. It is one of the worst recommendations that a Doctor can make- it is a high-risk drug. Avoid it!
This so called “miracle drug” can have a powerful effect on acne but at what cost? Its adverse effects can be just as powerful and it is known to cause severe birth defects in unborn children years after having taken it. Patients may also develop potentially serious problems to a number of organs including the liver, eyes, ears, intestines, and skeletal structure. This drug has negative and often permanent side effects like hair loss, dry skin, decreased immune system function, arthritis, loss of vision, depression, and suicidal thoughts - and this is no secret either. Read the horror stories online. Visit the FDA website and read this warning; “All patients treated with Isotretinoin should be observed closely for symptoms of depression or suicidal thoughts, such as sad mood, irritability, acting on dangerous impulses, anger, loss of pleasure… mood disturbances, psychosis or aggression.” After reading this quote it is no surprise that 72 of the 216 drug related teenage suicides reported in 2003 were connected to accutane.
This drug should never be taken, not in any case, not by anyone! I have great friends who are still feeling the debilitating effects of this drug a decade later. It saddens me and I wish I could have shared with them then, the natural solution I have now. I can’t help them now, what’s done is done. But if you are using Accutane, you can still free yourself from a lifetime of ill health this drug causes. There is a better way, a natural way with no negative side effects.
The human body is a beautifully designed machine with an incredible capacity to restore itself. As long as you keep it clean, feed it the right fuel, and create the optimal environment for it to utilize that fuel, it will perform perfectly. If you were doing these few things it would be inconceivable that you would have acne.
Consider that acne was not a health problem until the latter part of the twentieth century when our culture started eating high amounts of processed foods, refined flours and sugars, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners and trans fats.

Complete bull****. I had mild acne for a long time (since I was like 13). Tried changing diet, didn't help at all. Tried various drugs/topical creams and FINALLY I got on accutane this past spring. It didn't work for a few months, but in the middle of the summer, my acne just disappeared and hasn't come back.

These people like to think they know more than ****ing professionals, but they have no idea what they're talking about. IF this was so true, I guarantee that everyone would be doing it.

I call bull. I used to get sisst(spelling?) size zits in high school. I ate crap non-stop.

-change your pillow weekly
-rinse your face in the morning and nights
-oxy pad before bed time
-use tissue to wipe off grease from nose every couple of hours
-I eat extremely healthy.

I don't get a zit unless I provoke it by rubbing in dirt on my face. Occasionally when i forget to rinse my face off bi daily I can get larger blackheads but that's it.

there is a soap you can buy that has tea tree oil and calamine that dries up the acne and takes care of the inflammation.
a bar of it is about 15 bucks but lasts about 6 months for one person to use it twice a day.
it has really helped my son's acne tremendously, better than any other over the counter products i ever tried.
also, shampoo with tea tree oil in it has been helping him too.
pm me and i will find you a link.

I buy 20mg isotretinoin(accutane) from xlpharmacy.com and take one pill every three days. I will do this for another year and then stop to see if my acne comes back. If it does I'll keep taking it. May not work for everyone, but I honestly tried EVERYTHING to get rid of my acne and this is the cure for me.

Bwanaku, drop me a line in a few years when your body is falling apart from the Accutane. You don't know how many people have told me that years later, they are suffering from just about every side effect I described above. Diet alone will not cure your acne. It is a combination of changing your diet, getting some specific vitamins and minerals that you are not getting enough of now AND cleansing and rebuilding the internal organs. Yes, some people are genetically predisposed to acne but that doesnt mean you cant be acne free.

Doctors and Dermatologists don't get rich prescribing a healthy lifestyle- THAT is why most people don't know how to naturally treat acne. You can take the easy way out by taking Accutane but you will pay the price later in life.

It's good to be pessimistic in the short term...

but in the long term it is better to be open minded to new approaches.

**** Here is a reply I posted on a different forum but it pretty much sums everything up nice and neat.

You bring up some very interesting points- most of which are covered in my book. Obviously I couldn't paste the whole book into this thread or I would have- this is only a taste. I agree that accutane gets amazing results for a lot of people but a lot of people also experience multiple permanent negative side effects from this drug. Just the other day somebody from this Forum asked for a copy of this book and couldn't thank me enough for providing this information. He took accutane a few years ago and is feeling many of the negative side effects that I have listed above AND still has occasional breakouts.

Yes, there are many causes of acne and diet alone will not cure acne, I agree with you on that. You are on the right track about hormones and here is the piece that you are missing. People that have acne create androgenic hormones in overabundance therefore one of the keys to treating acne is to produce hormones in the right amounts and to be able to clear away unused and excess hormones. The body produces hormone regulators called prostaglandins. Hormone regulators are the messengers between hormones and cells. Regulators give the cells instructions from your hormones. If there are too many hormones and not enough hormone regulators to deliver the proper instructions to your cells, your “hormonal highway” will be out of balance. One of the main reasons a person gets acne is that there are an onslaught of hormones and not enough nutrients necessary to create the regulators required to keep hormones in balance. The nutrients needed to create the hormone regulators are essential fatty acids- they are omega 3, omega 6, and omega 9 fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are fatty acids that your body cannot produce on it’s own, they have to come from your diet. This is the way that nature intended us to regulate hormone production. Taking an EFA supplement in a specific way is the best way to bring hormone levels into balance.

Medications prescribed by a Dermatologist are not the only means of controlling hormone production and are often a harmful way of doing so. I have worked with some of the best Dermatologists in the country, Beverly Hills Dermatologists that charge prices you wouldn't believe, I have worked with Dermatologists that teach at top Universities in the country and I have been able to solve a problem that they were not able to solve in a safe way- getting rid of acne (in myself and countless others). I am not saying I have the one and only true answer but I have an answer that consistently gets results and is safe- not only is it safe but it improves every other aspect of your health. I cannot say the same for accutane or anibiotics, nor can an ethical medical professional.

You are right, ACNE IS A SKIN PROBLEM ( I should rewrite that sentence in my book) but it is only a skin problem in that it affects the skin. The real problem is in the internal organs. Diet alone will not treat acne, nor will detoxing. The way that you treat acne naturally is through nutrition, supplementation of specific vitamins and minerals, cleansing of specific organs AND a rebuilding process of these internal organs- cleansing without rebuilding doesn't get results.

I just stopped eating oily sugary sweets. Not to mention using face soap and a ****tail of facial scrubs/pore clensers, it takes me 20 minutes to wash my face! Not counting the 10 it takes for my facial mask to dry up so I can peel it off, but thats only twice a week anyway. But I am pimple free so its worth it i guess :)

I've been using Cetaphil Gentle cleanser, and that seems to be helping with my blemishes. I will continue using it for a month, and record the results here
Yeah, I use Cetaphil twice daily (in the morning and the evening) and then Moisturize with some Neutrogena SPF15 Oil-Free Moisturizer if necessary. I also use On-The-Spot for any trouble areas, but sometimes will use it more extensively as it works to conceal and reduce blemishes as well. I probably need to get some kind of exfoliator, but this system works pretty well for me.

JonWon, it's not a waste of time, my book has helped a lot of guys get rid of acne without using harmful drugs. I know a lot of people want the "magic bullet" and are not willing to do the work to get real lasting change but a lot of people are and I've written this book for those guys. It's absolutely worth it.

I used accutane and I wish I had done it sooner instead of putting it off for being afraid of the side effects.

I had back problems and typical dry skin, and mild IBS.

I still have slightly dry lips and certain things still bother my stomach, but overall it was worth it.

After reading your post I have to agree with most of what your saying. Diet plays a big part in all health related factors including acne. It is difficult to cut out all harmful products which is almost everything in sight unless one has access to an organic supply

To sum up everything, acne comes from the INSIDE. Anything applied topically might as well be a mask. It's toxins that have built up inside you making their exit. Unnatural ones that your body can not deal with. Have a natural lifestyle that the human body has become accustomed to over thousands of years and your body will be able to do its job. What goes in, comes out. You are what you eat. etc.

Going on accutane, eating processed crap, is like giving your grandmother an Xbox 360 game to play when she's never even used a computer in her life. It's not gonna work, and she's gonna get angry.

All you have to do to get rid of acne is wash the grease off your face in the shower. I'm telling you. People make a bigger deal out of it than they should; they don't even try the most simple obvious common sense techniques.
Nope. That's one of the worst things you can do, it irritates the skin to remove the natural oils so often. When I had acne I would wash my fash 3 times a day. Now it's once and very lightly, the best way to wash is to just splash your face. Try going a week without washing your face, the natural oils your body produces will be able to do their job and you'll get a "glow" about you. Don't go overboard and become a smelly hobo though.

So, I will update you in a few weeks with more conclusive results, as I've only been trying this for a bit less than a week so far.

However, after suffering from acne for 10 years now, I may have cured it.

The trick? Change your pillowcase very often, as in every other day max. I don't know why it needs to be this frequent, but for me it's making a HUGE difference.

Plus if you work it out, in the long run, buying a couple extra pillowcases is much cheaper than all these anti acne products.

It's not your pillow case smoothtalker. The bacteria on the pillow case is adding to the problem but it is not the problem. Why is it that some people can sleep on a dirty pillow case for weeks and they never get a single pimple. Acne is an internal problem and you will continue to get breakouts no matter how clean your pillowcase and you don't have to buy acne products either, you just have to repair your internal organs. It takes a little bit of work but it is worth it AND it improves your entire life.

Then please explain why it's making a huge difference.

Also how exactly did I do this grave damage to my organs?

I haven't had any serious diseases, eat very healthy, drink rarely, never do drugs or smoke, don't work in any sort of unhealthy environment, exercise regularly, etc.

What the hell happened to my organs then, and why do plenty of people with terrible lifestyles not have this 'organ damage'?

Look you just joined this forum and every post you have made is in this one thread. You obviously have an agenda, and I'm too cynical to thing that it's solely to clear up our skin.
