Getting punched while picking up a girl

Ok, whats the best way to deal with this situation....
I had sucessfully chatted up this girl and was giving her a little kino etc then we went to the dance floor and there was more kino, and the regular stuff, then some dude, who i can only assume was her ex-boyfriend punched me right in the face...She said earlier that there was some ex of hers around, but i assumed it would be cool because she was very receptive to all my stuff...anyway, i got punched and was slightly stunned, i then realised what had happened and went to go find the guy (who had walked off) i was then escorted out by the bouncer....

has anyone had a similar experience? whats the best way to deal with it? One thing that it has taught me is to make damm sure that there are no boyfriends/ ex-boyfriends around when picking up a girl.

I know how it feels to get punched by people (in my case i should say girls) without any reason...

I don't know if I sometimes come across as Mr. SUPER JERK or if it is something about my look, but it must be something that unleashes the wild beast in girls. In my case it is pretty damn funny, because I never have such conflicts with girls (or people in general) I know; only girls whom I have never talked to before wanna brake my nose.

I just got hit in the face by a girl this weekend. I hadn't even talked to her, she just came up to me and said "hi". I didn't pay attention to her. Then she asked "are you gay?". I just said "cute" and had this "oh babe...wanna get some attention of me - smile" look on my face. BANG...she directly punched me on my nose.

The strange thing about this is that this happens to me rather frequently...no guys but ONLY girls.
This was the first time I got actually beaten, beforehand they just wanted to but were stopped somehow.

lol, in the last analysis I don't know what is worse...I think I stay with my "method". To get punched by a girl can be pretty funny as long as they aren't any female championship boxer. In addition I don't have to hit back

I feel for ya man! I have been punched, shot at ( they missed, thank god) and had lots of phone threats made to me.

I hope you had her number. You can now call her, and say that was some crazy shyt, wasn't it? Then tell her you'd like to see her again, but maybe go to a spot where no ex's are lurking about. Depending on the girl, this might even be a perfect way to just invite her over to your place to hang out.

As far as the problem of getting a big surprise like this, there are things you can do to minimize the risk.

Always, always, keep your guard up. Be aware of your surroundings. I swear I've gotten so I can see out of the corner of my eyes so well. When dancing I like to ake sure I do moves that allow me to do a 180 frequently, its better than getting popped in the back of the head cuz you didn't see it coming.

If someone comes up and threatens you, just tell them you are just talking to her, chances are she will curse him out ( if its a ex) and he usually won't want all the embarrassment. When you can its always better, to take her and go find your own place to hang out.

The phone threats, are usually hot air, but sometimes the dude is serious, and he does know where you live. In a case like that, take it serious, but don't trip out. Let him know that you have the right to be left alone, and you know the laws...stalking laws apply here in some states. You just have to be aware, and take a few extra precautions, but its still worth it. One side note, just be sure you aren't messing with a chick that JUST broke up with some guy. It's usually not worth it. I don't like to mess with those chicks, cuz, I know how it feels to have just broke up with a gal. I leave it alone out of respect for the other guy mostly. They may be trying to work it out, and don't need interference...think how you would feel. Besides a chick that JUST broke up, is gonna flake much easier, and I'd rather spend my time on a better target than that.

Lol! Reminds me of an incident I had in college.

There was a girl in my class, very attractive. Guys wanted her, you know the deal. But you can tell she was high on it; she had an attitude that turned me off. I paid little attention and to no surprise she took an interest. All of her little flirty ways went ignored. In the meantime I started talking to another girl, much nicer.

One day after class I decide to head over to this little place right around the corner for a bite to eat, which was right accross the street from a practice field with some sporting event going on, don't remember what exactly. Anyway, this girl's friend approaches me, trying to make something happen, and I see her hanging back.

I knew if I spoke up a little bit this girl would hear me, so I wasn't very quiet when I had said, "Not interested". When her friend asked why, well, I was honest. "I think she's full of herself. I'm not impressed by her at all!" That's when I looked over to this girl and was expecting a dirty look or some rude comment at most.

Instead, she got that crazy, wide eyed "Oh no you didn't!" look in her eye, and I think I had seen her nostrals flair a little, even from like 20 feet away. She snapped into this bull run and just TACKLED ME. I'm not talking about anything playful here either. She put all 110 pounds of herself into it, head first, hard enough to get me down! I was actually a little soar that night. lol. The funniest part is that a coach's whistle went off accross the street EXACTLY when she started her sprint towards me!

When if ever, is it okay to hit a woman?

I am a pretty slick talker, so even though I am quite capable of defending myself, nothing good ever comes out of fighting, so I try to steer away from it, even with the jerkiest of guys. But women, it's like they KNOW you wont' hit them, so they test your bounderies.

The thing about me, and a part of a reason I try not to fight guys, is that I am a very miled mannered person, but, if I do something, I do it right, rather it be fixing up a car, dressing to go somewhere, or beating someone up. If we fight, you are going to have to drag me off of you because I will not stop.

I can't possibly hit a woman knowing that I am wired like that. I just can't give you a quick smack because if you tried to come back, I might seriously kill her.

But then on the same note, you just can't let woman hit you...

It depends on how much crap you are willing to take though. Sure it's 'wrong' to hit people (male or female), but if you have no problem hitting a guy who threw a punch for no reason, why can't you apply the same thing to females?

It may be a legal issue at this point but to me if I'm not going to take any crap from females, it shouldn't suddenly not apply because they're hitting me.

I reckon it is something about my eyes. I have green eyes which can "look" pretty intense. In addition it might be my attitude or my bodylanguage that communicates this certain attitude; calm, cool, a bit ****y ( just a bit...) and quite relaxed etc.

She had her own little army of male fools to manipulate. The fact that she enjoyed this part of it is what turned me off about her to begin with. I knew anything more than nuetralizing this girl would have put me up against every chump with a boner for her. I already had guys hating because she liked me. Know what I mean? I didn't need that crap. Besides, she didn't have anything after the tackle anyway. It was hardly something to get mad over.

I don't think I would have been so passive if it was a punch in the face or a kick in the jewels though. Especially the jewels. I'd box Mother Theresa to protect those little puppies.

It sucks. Women are extremely arrogant now, and they feel it's their right to be able to attack us.

It's much more difficult to leave a bruise on a man than on a woman. My ex lost her temper once and started punching and kicking me. I didn't fight back, just blocked.

My 10 year old brother does it harder.

What amazed me was that her legs and arms had huge bruises on them, just from me blocking her punches. I did not have a single mark on my body, except a minor scratch. Had the police got involved, it would've looked like I beat the crap out of her.

If you don't fight back, you risk getting your balls kicked off. If you do, you can land in jail...
