Getting numbers + No conversation = Success

Is it just me or is asking a girl for her number without really talking to her much kinda weird?? Ive done this a few times without being shot down, however it seems kinda weird. So what do yall think?? Are they just being nice or what?

some girls dont really care... if they think you are cute thn ethey will give you their number... if you are ugly as hell then you will get shot down.

At least they don't think you're ugly. As for no conversation, it makes a lot of sense. You're a mystery to them. They want to get to you, but you won't let them.
