So 47 years old and literally no body ink at all.

I am actually considering getting a sleeve tattoo, as I have good arms, big biceps etc, would definitely suit me.

Did you get more attention off chicks once you got some ink?

You don't want to get tattoos purely to attract women. Rarely works, unless your tats are part of your whole style as a man.

It's not going to be purely for chicks, as I have the build body wise for it to suit me.

If chicks find it attractive, then that is added bonus

I started with one on my forearm and then a few years after turned it into a sleeve.

Ok, that's fine. I knew a guy who had two sleeves because he thought they 'looked cool' and 'chick's dig sleeves' but he didn't become more attractive to them.

My own tats are only visible when I roll up my sleeves, but women rarely comment on them, except that I'm the 'total package' (whatever they want that to mean), but your tats should complement your look. If you look like a boring bureaucrat sporting a tatted sleeve is not making you more attractive.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

I have pretty significant ink. However, All of it can be hidden easily, depending on how I dress.

In my case, I didn’t pick drawings out of a catalog or copy somebody else’s work; I worked with artists to develop custom designs that had meaning to me because each of my tattoos marks something important in my life.

Well, done tattoos on men can be very alluring to women, but as with most things with women, there has to be a good backstory, and you got to feel it. And authenticity is something women have excellent radars for.

Do it because you like it. Don’t do it for chicks.

p.s. women, even goody two shoes, love my ink, but that's because they’re already into me by the time they usually see it. Reactions can be fantastic when they first see my ink, gasps, like, omg. Never once have I been rejected for it; women, instead, love the depth of the stories I tell about each one.

Are there tat chasers? Sure, I often refer to my ink or send great pics of mine when I encounter a hot chick I want to bed that has some ink. It changes the conversation and makes it ok to directly refer to our bodies and such, often gets you very suggestive pics in return.

Bottom line is your mileage may vary. If you like the idea of being tatted up (outside of attracting women), and have game and brains you can use it to your advantage. Getting tats is not going to change your lineup or miraculously make you a slayer.

You also attract certain people with tats. Same as many chicks that are DGs which in most cases also have tattoos and many of those look for men the same.
It's to the point where it is more unique to not have tats than to have it.

Same thing here, the most impressive ones are on my back and I don't take off my shirt much, so the people who see it are usually already intimate with me. And I recognise the reaction - wow, gasp, did that hurt? - and no woman has rejected me for them, for each is part of my history. And they love hearing about my past.

Yup i have two very large pieces on my back. I frankly love hanging out at a resort with a big pool area and swim up bars with a hot date. You already have a top 5% physique, then you pull off your shirt and your date spf’s you up which makes your ink glisten. Total attention getter, especially in my age group.

If the chicks are stealing glances and their men are looking at you like they’d like to kill you, you know you’re on the right track.

Everyone seems to be getting tattooed nowadays, so having no tatts will actually make you stand out from the crowd.

I don't see how a sleeve would showcase your muscles, on the contrary, it covers up the definition and separation between biceps and triceps.

Well, here we go again. This is the same discussion as with getting jacked. Guys that aren't saying don't bother; women aren't into that.

As someone who wasn't inked for the bulk of my time on earth and then decided to get some ink for the personal reasons described above, I can tell you that it has opened doors and legs that would not have been open or would've been harder to open previously. I did not get tattoos for that reason, but it's been an exciting study.

In my socio-economic circles, I am the anomaly with ink.

That said, I am circumspect about who gets to see me in tank tops or shirtless. But when they do, it turns me into the BBOG (bad boy of the group). I cannot tell you how quickly the way I am viewed by people I've known for a while changes. Suddenly the females in the group asked to see the rest of them and trace their hands on my back and upper arms; this would not have happened otherwise. It's reverse kino. I can tell you it's VERY sexual. You get viewed in a completely different light. I've been in board trucks and nothing else and been asked in private if there are any more tats to see - again - thats about as sexual as a woman gets outside of grabbing your outh.

Of course, I do not have a sleeve and do not aspire to have one. That's a different level.

But spare me the "everyone has them" so I'm speshuler than you without them.

Hmm well my arms are looking fantastic right now... Why not just take it to another level and get a sleeve?

I worked on my physique for so long I felt like I wouldn't want to ruin it with a buncha tatoos. But I've always had meaningful ideas for tattoos.. Alot of great stories/ lessons /friends that are gone that I have translated into concepts that I would get tatted eventually. I been thinking more about it this year but still not sure when I'll bite the bullet.

Perhaps I’m old fashioned but I always thought that older guys with tattoos looked pretty funny (especially if you’re not a biker, gang member or ex con).

How about if you’re a combat veteran? Old fashioned? There’s a long history of my brothers in arms getting tattoos to commemorate those who gave all. Bet you wouldn’t laugh to my face.

Dude you just make me shake my head sometimes.

I bet he wouldn't laugh at anyone's face, just make fun of people online, safe behind the computer keyboard. Less risky.
