Low weights, high reps, lots of cardio and maintain your abs. You'll be healthy, convert some fat to muscle, and have more testosterone coursing through your body so when a girl grabs your arm and she double clutches your bicep, she'll get just a bit moist. Use Russel Brand as an example. If you don't wanna lift at all then run, work your abs, and do pushups. You'll stay slim, fit, toned, etc. and be the "wierd, artsy dude with the nice bod" that girls wanna deepthroat. Capiche?

Being artsy and muscular have nothing to do with each other, so I don't get the connection.

There was a study posted on this board somewhere which said that guys tended to value muscle more than women did. And you can sort of see that on this board, all the guys here push lifting weights. I lift myself, but I'm not at all sure that bulking up is necessarily healthy. Look at all the premature deaths in professional wrestliing for instance.

Anyway, maybe the girls don't care if you're muscular or not. But if you're not muscular, the chances increase that some time you are going to get AMOG'd out of the way, brushed aside like some puny flea. If you're going to run with the bulls it's better to have some strength on your side.

It's not like you're gonna get big like 50 cent. Go ahead and start lifting and get fit.

In regards to OP, a classic example of: WHY DON'T YOU-YES BUT...
Thesis: See if you can present a solution OP can't find a fault with.
Aim: Reassurance.
Roles: Helpless person, Advisers.
Dynamics: Surrender conflict (oral).
Examples: (1) Yes, but I can't do my homework now because. . . .

Social Paradigm (What's appearing to happen): Adult-Adult.
Adult (OP): "What do you do if. . . ."
Adult (Sosuave): "Why don't you. . . ."
Adult (OP): "Yes, but. . . ."

Psychological Paradigm (What's actually happening): Parent-Child.
Parent (Sosuave): "I can make you grateful for my help."
Child (OP): "Go ahead and try."

Moves: CO Problem-Solution. (2) Objection-Solution. (3) Objection-Disconcertion.
Advantages: (1) Internal Psychological—reassurance. (2) External Psychological—avoids surrender. (3) Internal Social-YDYB, Parental role. (4) External Social-YDYB, Child role, (5) Biological—rational discussion. (6) Existential—Everybody wants to dominate me.

Being muscular makes it easier to get women but it's not a magic potion to get laid. I don't think anyone should lift just to pull tail. I'm probably the skinniest guy you'll ever meet and I don't care because that's just the way I am.

So many people on this board recommend lifting weights, but what if you're a really artsy and weird guy? I mean, I agree that lifting will make you more positive, but being muscular on top of being artsy and weird seems like a bad combination to me.
use some logic here:

YOU are not muscular, and YOU are weird, so if the thought of combining muscles and artsyness sounds weird to you, it is because YOU are weird and you do not know how to think logically.

To a confident muscular don juan, the combination of muscles and ANYTHING else would not be weird at all.

Get it? The lesson here is, YOU are weird, and everything that you think may be weird, is actually normal. Your goal is to stop being creepy and weird about everything, so you can start thinking like a don juan for once!!

I'm quite muscular but more defined, and since i study interior design i suppose it helps me appear more masculine or else girls can assume im gay haha. So yeah i think it really does help when you're artsy to have muscles

my apologies to the op for using this thread but since its related to my actual situation i think it wouldn't do any harm... so my question is i'm 34 years old, am i still in time to get big? thing is im skinny all over except in the belly area, stopped working out when i broke my left hand in the 5th metacarpal bone and since then i lost interest in going to the gym.

Just visualize what you want to look like, and strive toward that. If you want to just tone up, that's fine. Do whatever makes you happy, not what others tell you.

Even arty chicks appreciate a good body. You don't have to be a gym rat to be lean, muscular and in shape.

BUT DO NOT TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH YOU CAN BENCH. YOU WILL LOOK LIKE A DOUCHEBAG

One of the biggest reasons for lifting weights is the testostorone boost.

Testostorone is what makes you a man, and it gives you everything you need for game.

Demystify obviously is entrenched in this conception of "cliques". Sounds like he's in highschool. It's obvious by his claim that to be artsy one cannot be muscular; I know some graffiti/tattoo artists that are f*cking ripped and what they can do is absolutely beautiful. The reality is that past highschool these conceptions don't hold up. People are all different; they have different interests and desires, and that's all that matters.

Do what you enjoy and get the most satisfaction from and everything will fall into place. If you're an artsy/weird guy and you want to lift weights, what's wrong with that??? If you want to do it then do it; if someone talks sh!t to you for it then they're not worth your time.
