Although you may feel you are a good looking guy, you might not have the look. You are in Manhattan and are surrounded by good looking people.

The problem may be in your dress code and style. Some people here have no clue as to what to wear when they go out. This may be your problem.

If you are a good looking guy with appropriate style, women will approach you. If this is not the case, something is missing.

Meatpacking is more for the trendy high roller investment banker looking for a model. The girls look great but are extremely uptight.

If your a big dawg wearing an Armani suit, that area is yours for the taking. Places like Tenjune and Cielo are extremely elite and are less likely to let single guys inside (unless accompanied by a hotty). The Gansevort Hotel is a personal fav.

If your looking for more "chill" women, your best bet is sticking to the village or even Union Square. There are hotties and bars all over that place! All around 14th street, and NYU territory.

I find that super hot women in Manhattan are extremely fashion oriented/materialistic when it comes to selecting males. If I wear anything from Bloomingdales its like every hot woman is on my di**!

Get yourself a pair of Rock and Republic jeans, some gucci shoes, and a white V neck polo undershirt and you'll be RAPED by hot NYC women!

The supranormal hot women (hottest imaginable) are walking around with rich 80 year old millionaires on the Upper East Side. Haha, that's life.

Hahaha. By the time you reach 70 you should be filthy rich (as a surgeon) and walking with those type of women. Think about that!

I think edger dresses way too heavy metal and his hair might be WAY too long. That's not a trend look in Manhattan, IMO.

I totally agree with guru. When I used to go clubbing and drinking...I used to dress VERY nice. Very fashionable. Had no problems.

Now...I don't go out that much because I already have a woman...and I keep things a little simple now. My current focus are my kids and job.

But you can bet your salary that if I was "single" and "looking" and back to the night life...I would be dressing the part too. Nice shoes, nice watch, nice rings, and average (but unique looking) necklace just to get their attention or give them a reason to ask about it, nice haircut, nice cologne or whatever they call it, nice pants and shirts, nice underwears, nice everything.

I went to nightclubs in which many times I was either allowed to go inside for free or the bartender by-passed everybody else to take care of me. Of course, those times I was with a hot woman. I also...went going "alone"...had women approach me and ask me if I was one of the owners of the place or a manager or whatever.

It is style and that look of "importance". Even if you are regular joe.

Edger...you are too young...cut that hair. Long hair looks "cooler" if you are older and can pull it out. But if you are young and have way too long of a hair you give the impression that you are not as well (financially) as others.

It is about perceptions...trust me on that.

Coincidentally, I am a guy, living in a guy's shoes. I have never had the inclination to pay cash or credit to a hor so I can satisfy an urge.

So, either your game really isnt better than average, you have little control over your sexual desires, or both.

My question was perfectly legitimate because you have been coming here long enough that you should have all the tools you need to go out and procure your own women without resorting to a prostitute, but yet you live in NYC and post a thread about an escort flaking on you. This is not a problem a self-sufficient DJ would have.

I'm a lifelong New Yorker and I can sympathize with your troubles. But I have to ask, what kind of women are you going after? And are you: a) preparing appropriately for the women you want and b) looking in the proper places?

I go after any woman who is HOT. I don't care if she's trendy, punk rock, goth, metal, emo, etc. As long as she has a hot face and hot body, and dresses sexy. I don't discriminate based on "styles". How can you? If a woman is hot, SHE IS HOT.

Am I preparing appropriately for the women I want? Well, my wardrobe is one of a rocker. "Metal" to be exact. But a nice-looking kind of metal, not a slobby looking kind of metal. My hair is to my lower back(no not my ass..I'd never let it get to that point, as I think it looks unattractive), full and healthy, clean, and brushed. For a metal-rocker guy, I look damn good.

Now, when I'm out and about in the metal and goth scenes(by the way, goth women also have a tendency to be attracted to longhaired metal guys), I hardly get vibes from hotties in those scenes as well. Still a little better than when I'm out in the "trendy" scene, but I can tell you, not by much. So, based on that, it would be safe to say that your style doesn't really make a difference to a lot of women.

I've been able to pull the "trendy chix" all my life, as a matter of fact to be perfectly honest, most of my lays have come from your typical trendy-looking girly girly girl type chick. And I also see other metal guys just like me, reeling in the "trendies". So, I know for a fact that it isn't an obstacle. Ironic you'd say, right?..which brings me to my other point of how we're raised to think that certain styles of women, ONLY go for certain styles of men. But thats not true. Don't get me wrong, there are some women who won't "vibe" a guy unless he fits her certain style requirement, but I also know too that you can get around that through your GAME and how you interact with her. As long as you act like a DJ/Player, you should be fine with just about any woman out there, whether she's into metal guys, trendy guys, punk rocker guys, etc., etc. I can cite one such experience I had with this VERY HOT woman a year and a half ago. Typical hot trendy, girly girly girl. Killer face and body. Dressed very sexy. She was from Florida living in NYC. Anyway, I cold-approached her. We started talking, and during the inititial part of the conversation, she tells me that I have a nice face, but I should cut my hair. So, ****ily, I told her "only for you" in a sly, playful, sarcastic way. Anyway, I had this chick laughing the entire time I was talking to her, was doing pretty well with her. I pussied out though and never offered to exchange numbers. I kicked myself in the ass for a long time after that.

Don't forget guys, look what Mystery was able to do. A trendy chick who wasn't into his look one bit, who he won over. And in my opinion, Mystery's game wasn't great either in that sarge.

So, with all that said, yes, I am preparing appropriately for the women I want and looking in the right places...but I still come out empty-handed most of the time.

Guru, I've seen lots of "slobs" in my day walking with hot women. That's what made me realize that your dress code and style doesn't make a difference with women. Sure, you might not get vibed for looking like a slob, but they can still be picked up regardless with the right game.

I'm not sure what you are refering to here. It sounds to me like you have made a personal agreement with yourself that you have some sort of intangible 'curse' against you being successful with women.

That's an attitude my friend. I believe in God and the supernatural, but I also believe that we tend to create our own destinies. You believe in your magnetism for relational misfortune (if I am correct, I havent read all your past posts), and thus it is indeed a reality for you. That's why you feel you have to resort to a "high class" hooker.

On a practical note, Your appearance does matter. I am a long-time metalhead myself, so Im not knocking you, but I have never looked the part. Im sure we're not telling you anything you havent already heard here. A clean look (not-long hair, sharp clothes) goes a long way. So does a good musculature; more so that slick threads. And just like you a drawn to HOT women, women are drawn to muscular men. All the naysayers here (the ones who dont work out) will say "im not like that and i get laid all the time blah blah blah", but whatever. All im saying is that if you are physically able to put on some solid muscle then it is your priviledge as a man to do so.

Im sure youve heard all this a thousand times, I just think its absolutely ridiculous that you are not a bum, suppsedly good-looking, live in NYC, have Don Juan knowledge, and feel like you have to get an escort to satisfy your needs. Rubbish.

You've got it wrong there, let me correct you. I didn't say I don't get vibes from women outside the metal and goth scenes. Go re-read what I wrote in this thread. I just about equally get as many vibes from the trendy chix as I do from the metal chix. Only a trifle bit more vibes with the metal b*tches, that it's almost insignificant.

And when I get vibes from any kind of woman, I never chicken out. Yeah, I chickened out with that one hot trendy chick from Florida that I posted about in this thread who I was making laugh and had good rapport going with, but the reason I pussied out was because during our conversation at one point, she turned away and started chatting with her friends..then later after about 10 minutes of talking to them, she taps me on the shoulder with a smile and says "it was really nice meeting you, I'm going upstairs with my friends". Because she turned away to talk to her friends for 10 minutes, I got the impression she wasn't interested, so I was confused and backed off on exchanging numbers with her. But afterall, she might've very well been interested since she tapped me on the shoulder while I had my back turned, to tell me she was going upstairs with her friends and that it was "nice meeting me" with a smile on her face.

But Str8, it's even just as difficult(only a trifle bit less) with the metal and goth chix who are SUPPOSED to be into the "look" that I sport.

But then what throws me off is, a lot of other rocker-metal guys in the scene seem to be reeling 'em in, because whenever I go to a show, or am at a metal or goth club, I see a lot of guys like me with hot sexy-looking metal or goth chix. But you also have to understand something too about the HOT metal and goth chix, they are very into "status"; if you're not in a band, or a promoter, or a DJ, they don't want anything to do with you...so, it's tough.

How is it confusing? I've been saying, yes, I "pull", but only from time to time. And when I say "pull", I mean getting laid. Last time I actually got laid the natural way was last April of '07. I've had 2 other opportunities that I can remember off the top of my head, one was last summer and the other was in Novermber of '07, but during my interaction with them, I realized I wasn't physically attracted to them. One looked like my friend a little, lol, and the other I realized I just wasn't attracted to her physically. But to you or anyone else, you'd probably think they were hot. I know my other buddies thought so. But I'm pretty picky, I can't help it. And by the way, one was your typical "trendy" girly girly girl, and the other was a rocker chick who dressed sexy.
