Getting dumped but still in contact

I had a girl basically dump me, but she still calls/text messages me sometimes. What is the deal with this? This is the first time this has ever happened to me, so i was wondering why she does it?

Stop being an idiot. This reminds me of my gf in 9th grade.

I want you to decide if you want this girl or not. If you do, then you tell her to figure out what she wants. You're going to tell her that there will be no more text messages, calls, etc., and that you aren't going to tolerate her playing around. You are going to tell her that the next call between you two is to set up a date together, period.

If you don't want this girl and want to move on (which you probably should), you're going to tell her straight out that the relationship is over, and that her "flattering messages" are unwanted.
