In my experience.. you really have to convo with her for > 10 minutes. It has to be clear the two of you can talk. Otherwise, she'll just give you the number to get rid of you, and flake later. In her mind, you "rushed" her..etc.

dont ask her if shes single when u ask for her number, thats bad advice.

seal the deal right then and there. ask her if she wants to go somewhere more quiet where u can 'talk'
