After 8 months, we split (I'm pretty sure she was talkin to someone else cuz she was going out with another guy a few days later). At least she broke up with me rather than cheated.
That was in August. We talked to each other maybe once in September, and this month, we started talking more often. I took the advice from most DJs on this board and just cut off contact with her after we broke up, but I think that gave off the wrong vibe. Because last time we talked, I asked her did she just totally forget about me, and she said no, she just thought I didn't like her anymore and was mad at her. I told her no and that I still have love for her.
So she asked if I'd go to the movies with her 2 weeks ago. I had something to do, so I said nah, maybe another weekend. I rescheduled to see her Friday. Well, we caught each other at my school's football game and we were with each other most of the game. Holdin each other and what not. We didn't make out (only 2 kisses on the lips), but we were hugging each other while we were talking (looking face to face, you'd swear that we were bf/gf) once. She asked why'd I start calling her again, and asked did I miss her. I said yeah and she said she missed me too ( that's when the 2 kisses came in). We also took a picture together. We scheduled to go out to eat the next night.
The night was OK. Not the greatest, the first time we actually went to a good dining restraunt. She showed me that she had put the picture as the cover picture on her phone and said that it reminded her of me. Blah blah, nothing much happened during the dinner, I agreed to drop her off at the club because her friend was going to spend her birthday night there. When I dropped her off, I kissed her on the cheek she kissed back and said thanks for everything.
Problem is, with all that said, I don't know if it's time to ask her out again. I want to get back with her, but I don't know if the last night went well enough for her to still want to get back with me. I mean, it was only dinner (I wish we went to the mall or somethin, I'd be able to have more fun walking around with her). Anyone have any ideas on how I should play this out? I'm slipping up bad on this one, I have trouble being suave around her. When I take Other girls on dates, or talk on the phone, it's alot easier to be suave. But when I'm with her, or when I'm on the phone with her, it feels like I have no skill at all...
Can anyone help me with this?
