Get numbers on Facebook

I met a girl at a popular local dance last Sat. night, we danced for about ten minutes and we didnt talk much, There was alot of kino while dancing

She goes to a different school, and I added her as a friend on facebook

She just recently changed her status from "in a relationship" to "single" about two days after we became friends.

Also one of her friends that we were dancing with "liked" us becoming facebook friends.

I want to know how to get the number from here and how to escalate, and possibly go out with her.

Simply send her a message/write on her wall?
Say something like, 'hey its jon9348, i noticed i never got your number from that hot dance party last week. so how about it, lets get your number'
adding in like a smiley face or something

honestly, if you're freaked out about sending this message, can you imagine how nervous you'll be if you'll have to talk to her in person, or worse, on the phone?
