Solid school and a degree in a field that's both in demand and has staying power. As of this writing, the most popular majors among most students continues to be psychology and business, despite the former not being especially lucrative to anyone who isn't pursuing a PHD + going to write books and sell courses afterwards, and most undergrads in the later being far too general to be especially attractive to future employers. This, after observers have been pointing out the futility of such choices for decades nowThis is bad advice. as long as you go to a good school you’ll always have the following two words available to you: alumni network
As is so often the case, folks choose what appears to be easy, rather than majoring in say economics or management information systems, then pursuing their MBA afterwards. Ya know, a route that requires one spend less time binge watching the latest Gundam Wing reboot, and more time reading and preparing for exams
